DJ Einsamkeit

I met Aaron at Northern Lights on Tuesday and spoke to him for a time about the beautiful art of DJing. He said he is a resident DJ at City Club on Saturdays, so to support the scene I definitely will be making an appearance. Since I have the luxury of being a disabled Veteran and not having to work I will be able to spend the entire evening 11pm-4am at the City. I would very much like to meet some of you so if you pass by a guy with a shaved head and Johan Von Roy (from Suicide Commando as if you didn't know) tattooed on his right arm the please by all means, introduce yourself to me and let me buy you a drink to break the ice. I do not imbibe in alcoholic beverages so I will be of straight mind so to speak. I look forward to meeting you all. (My night will be perfect if I can dance to Blutengel's Engelsblut on a dance floor for once in my life on this continent.)

The first thing I would like to do is thank everyone on this site for allowing me to find my way into the Detroit Gothic Industrial scene. I am not great at introductions but I will try to do the best I can. Best if I just lay out the facts. Name: Barry Age: 34 From: Grew up in Roseville, moved away, and came back to Michigan back in 2006. Work: I was career military until I was hurt in an IED attack outside Baghdad in 2005. It took me a few years of fighting with the Dept of Veterans Affairs to get my VA disability which I have now. Marital Status: Single. I just got out of a on again, off again 6 year relationship with my ex. Music: I have been into mainly Industrial/Electro for about 10 years. Stuff like Suicide Commando, Hocico, Blutengel, Nachtmahr..... I also like a lot of new wave and gothic rock too. I have been DJing for about 10 years now. I started out with techno, trance and that kind of music and now I spin mainly Industrial. I tend to be a beatmatcher when it comes to DJing. Currently I use the Numark NS7FX controller with Serato itch. I am thinking about moving to Germany next summer but while I am here in the mean time I want to get more involved in the Industrial scene here in Detroit and hopefully along the way make some good friends. I used this site to find the Northern Lights Lounge to go to on Tuesdays. I have nothing but nice things to say about the place and the people. Phil and Alex the bartenders are really great guys and the ambiance is real chill and laid back which I really like. I also go to Ciry Club and am looking for other places to hang out so I can kill time and have fun. I think I am pretty easy to spot in a crowd. I shave my head and I have quite a few distinctive tattoos. I have EINSAMKEIT on my right forearm, and I also have a portrait of Johan Von Roy on my right forearm. On my left forearm I have the Sisters of Mercy logo. So I guess from my tattoos music is pretty important to me.
