HOLY F%$KING SHIT THERE IS SOME TERRIBLE MUSIC HERE! I don't even know where to begin. I realize that what qualifies as good music is subjective, so I definitely won't say that ICP is awful awful awful music. Especially since one of my best friends, Pomba Gira, is a juggalette. (Although, you'd be hard pressed to lump her in with the young white trash rolling down the potholed streets of Hazeltucky in their 93 Grand Am coupe with the flames on the side and their hands in the air to "Fuck the World" ) Of course, I don't want to pick on people. I mean, it's not bad at all that Chernobyl has an appreciation for Eminem. He has some genuine talent (I would save my scorn for if she praised Lady Gaga--- but I KNOW she's too hardcore to ever fall for a pop sensation like that--- wink wink ) I also agree with her that, in contrast to emo bands like My Chemical Romance, ICP and almost all of the artists mentioned here never claim to be even remotely goth, so you can't blame them. (Although I am a bit confused when Fairy Gothmother claims to "have gotten a more hardcore goth thing going on" when she posts musical tastes across several threads that are almost completely nu metal angry white-boy rock.) There's nothing wrong that or with liking different styles or groups. It's just--they're not even remotely goth. I think everyone should listen to whatever makes them happy, even music that's the aural equivalent of ripping off your ears and running them through a woodchipper.
