Feeling extremely confused...as much of a recluse as I am, I feel I may be too social for DGN. I am not sure how this is supposed to work, but with every attempt I have made to hang with members here, there are forces that mark the contrary... I either leave a place too soon or DGN members seem afraid to approach members on a dance floor or timing and money always seem to be an issue. I figured that offering to buy someone a drink would make them more open to seeking me out...boy was that ever a miss. I don't have outside friends... I don't drink... I don't smoke... I don't do drugs... I don't have a relationship... Standing on the outside looking in, my life pretty much sucks. I always thought it would be cool to find and hang out with like minded individuals...I guess I didn't think that through. If I'm a recluse anti-social outcast looking for a recluse anti-social outcast the outcome would dictate that neither the two shall meet. Likewise, given a social outcast seeking an anti-social outcast yields the same results. sou to itte mo, dou sureba ii deshou ka...

That's usually how it works... Funny enough, my little sister is a double major and one dissertation from her doctorate and believe you me, you could write several made for TV movies on the amount of emotional crap she unloads...lol

WHERE DID ALL THE TIME GO!!! Feels like just yesterday was October 1st!!

Maybe this sounds stupid, but in our family, we always talk it out no matter how bizarre, odd or weird. During growing pains, my mother would let us yell at the top of our lungs in the basement with no fear of feeling embarrassed about it. She said sometime the heart can't handle things and you have to get it out one way or another, but best not to be destructive. (she didn't have a support system) At very young ages, we learned to be emotional counselors to the adults in our lives. So we were pretty much there for each other during our mother's divorce while pregnant with her last child and when my older sister was left by her fiance days before their wedding. As well as other personal situations involving family members, significant others and closets full of skeletons. This guided my interested into the world of Psychology, Child Development, and Critical Thinking during my college years. I actually ended up doing a 10 year study on my family that earned me an A+ in my Social Development course. These day, I just have the need to hear peoples' stories...I think I crave it. I have never been in a relationship and this seems to be the only way I know how to relate to others is through their hearts. I try not to pry and I always ask permission, but it is up to the individual if they wish to share on such an intimate level. Maybe this is my little demented way of feeling like I am saving the world one person at a time...
