  1. Turns out the wires to the outlet plug into slots in the back instead of using the screw on sides. A wire somehow worked it's way loose so it killed the power to the rest of the upstairs although the outlet with the loose wire still worked. The neutral wire was still connected to keep that outlet working but had come loose on the other side of the outlet in effect disconnecting the other outlets. Maintenance had it fixed in about 20 mins. 15 mins to track problem and 5 mins to fix.
  2. Thinking how much fun it is going to be when we tell the Apartment office that we need an electrician to come out to see why half the upstairs doesn't have power suddenly. 1 circuit breaker for the whole upstairs and a few outlets still have power so I know nothing tripped.
  3. Actually he starred in a few westerns plus made appearances on different TV shows. However it was the NestlΓ©'s Quik commercial that got him the role of Batman.
  4. Ahh yes, the boat, the bomb, the nuns and the ducks. That is from the Batman movie. I bought a copy of the movie a couple months ago. And the best line is "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb"
  5. TV's original Batman has passed away at the age of 88 after a short fight with leukemia. I was 8 years old when the Batman series started on January 12, 1966 which was my birthday. It was supposed to start in September but the studio decided it wanted the series to premiere in January. Since it was supposed to be an hour long show but ABC only had 2 open spots, both being 30 min time slots they decided to split each episode in half. This created the same bat time, same bat channel episode ender for the first half. This show was a big part of my childhood and Adam West became a childhood hero. So today I lost another part of my childhood. My one regret is not being able to go to Motor City Comic Con the year both Adam West and Burt Ward appeared together. R.I.P. Adam West, may your memory live on in those who enjoyed the years of entertainment you gave us.
  6. I shall be there and would like a card please.
  7. It's probably the food you put outside for the kitties drawing the raccoon. Either that or he is a peeping raccoon watching you through the window.
  8. Saw a link to this song on facebook and now I can't get it out of my head.
  9. I should be there and would like a card please.
  10. My roommate and I will be there and requesting cards. Forgot to post earlier this week.
  11. Trying to decide whether to make it to the gathering tonight. Got hit with a stomach bug Monday, shook it by Tuesday but still have low energy. Haven't eaten much since then because what little I have eaten sits like a rock.
  12. She won't. Not after her 2 sons, her daughter and I are done chewing her out. She is diabetic and KNOWS to get up and eat. But no, she took her insulin and went back to bed without eating. She complains when we get pushy about this yet when she ignores what she knows she needs to do, this is the result, a trip to the ER by ambulance.
  13. Talking to EMS about roommate's mom. She decided to stay in bed and hasn't eaten so major sugar drop. Right now we can get more sense out of a 2 y/o than her. Haven't had her do this in over 6 years. And she wonders why we bug her to get up, be active and eat properly. So a trip to the ER is about to happen.
  14. Doing laundry while watching Godzilla vs Monster Zero.
  15. I plan on being there and would like a card please.
  16. Making a DVD for Troy before going to the Red Apple.
  17. Looking at the map showing the info, pretty much anywhere south of Toledo. Check your link. Towards the bottom of the page there is a map showing the coverage area to see the total eclipse. The outer edge to the total eclipse appears to include Toledo and may cross into Michigan just south of Luna Pier, basically near the Ohio border.
  18. I hope to be there if my eye clears up. Would like a card please if I am able to be there.
  19. Unfortunately we won't see the total eclipse in Michigan until April 2024 when the edge will hit the tip of Southeast Michigan so even then one would need to go into Ohio to see it.
