I finally got to watch Independence Day Resurgence. I was impressed. Usually sequels fall short but for me, this one didn't. I found myself with the same feelings the first one gave me. The way the action and acting pulled me in on the first one, the second did the same. Overall definitely worth the watch. After watching that, I went over to watch Dracula on Svengoolie. It's the Bela Lugosi original.

Strange because even Trump is now saying he doesn't want to cut SSD, SS, Medicare and Medicaid. As it stands, the bill won't pass the house because of some of the cuts you mentioned. It is getting too confusing anymore in Washington because they keep changing what they say everytime they are asked a question. Sad part is is that social security IS NOT a government handout like some people think. It is a trust fund that is funded by the taxes taken out of our paychecks. The government was not to be able to borrow from it but somehow someone found a loophole or just ignored the rules and took money from it to balance the budget and fund pet projects. It is time for Washington to take pay cuts and start returning the money they borrowed. If our new president wants to prove he is for all the people and not just the rich, then he needs to prove it by fixing, not removing the programs we need to help Americans and quit sending all that money they send overseas. if he wants us to believe his America first then it is time to put up otherwise he will just prove he is nothing more than an ass who is just as bad if not worse that the career politicians he bitched about. Which with all the removal of regulations to protect the environment, regulations to get the auto industry to make cars more fuel efficient and others makes the public believe all he is after is to make the rich richer on the backs of the poor.

Gotta love Wikipedia, where anyone can write anything to any item on the page. So to follow the idea of the griping about everyone stealing Irishness for St. Patrick's day, I feel it's only fair as a German-American that no one other than people of German decent be allowed to celebrate Octoberfest. And only Americans can celebrate the Fourth of July, only Veterans can celebrate Memorial Day. I mean if Wikipedia wants to talk about the Irish not happy with people other than of Irish decent celebrating a holiday then let's just be fair and do it for all holidays related to a specific ancestry. And for the record, no one needs to play to stereotypes of people to justify getting drunk and acting like idiots on a holiday. After all, it seems to be the American pastime to do that any day of the year, no holiday needed.

Sad to say but in a way, it's funny. We laugh at happenings in the south when they see a snowflake. Accidents, closing schools, sometimes even closing down a whole town. We joke about their driving ability and easy panic seeing any type of snowfall. Yet some people who are used to snow, how it effects driving conditions get so full of themselves that they feel they can drive like they do on dry clear roads. So they drive like idiots and then blame the other person/vehicle for the accident. Gotta love drivers from the north.
