  1. TronRP, I was only sad because I had missed my shiny red hair and had gone back to boring brown for so long that I did not have the courage to step it back up. You did not injure me and there is absolutely no way you could have known. Sorry I made you feel bad. Here is a dancing bunny.
  2. Someone mentioned my <<< shiny red hair and it made me sad. So I went out and did something about it. Should I wait to show it until March 17?
  3. Troy, is this what you were referring to? No trouble in the least. Nobody said anything out of line. Just a little proactive posturing for any unfriendlies who may be lurking.
  4. Welcome sycosis. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. Please do, tell us a little about yourself. This is a dancing bunny.
  5. Oh, hi there. It is me, marblez. I used to be pretty active here but moved on for a very very long time. #1. I am not goth, I am goth friendly. Consider me a normal person that finds beauty in the goth aesthetic and people (except whiners, I can't stand whiners). #2. I am a Christian. I know this is a minority here, always was. That doesn't mean that I will try and convert you and please do not try and convert me. I teach Sunday School. That is a part of who I am. #3. You will start seeing my lurker husband around, say Hi. He's a total introvert, encourage him to speak up. He'll probably register as sycosis or something like that. #4. If I owe you a DGN cd from like 12 years ago, I found a few recently. All the rest were stolen from my car eons ago. If I owe you money for anything else, you are sadly mistaken. #5. It was awesome to spend time with those that were at Red Apple last night. Hoping to see more in the future. #6. got my crucifix. #7. I am 40 years old and I got fat again. #8. If you laughed at #7, you are an awful person and should be ashamed of yourself. #9, #9, #9, #9..... If you don't get it, don't worry. It's not goth anyway. Ask questions, be nice. Send all rude comments and hate mail to my inbox, please.
  6. Heck no. I have waaaay better things to do with my time than to hang out cry with a bunch of devil worshipers.
  7. Buy an umbrella. Or better yet, find a place with a pavillion.
  8. We had a great time. Expect to see more of us, err...expect to see us more. First aftermath post in what, 10 years? Feeling a bit rusty, here goes.... Troy - where's my card, dammit? Sekhmet - Looking so purty. I've missed you. Kat - We finally meet . The greatest love of allllllll... Kat's Man Dan - am I right? Brandy - That one time at the campground.... The guy sitting next to Brandy - ? Rosyblue - We must talk more next time Freaklord - I am totally not doing that uppy downy caps FrEA...crap. Glad you joined. There are some good people to know here. Tell lady I said . I like her. And introducing Sycosis - my hubby man Dave. He's a total lurker [swoon]. Next time hoping to see... ManicQueen and Phee (It's a start...) That is all I have for you today.
  9. Yes, welcome to you, Mr Freaklord. Glad to see that you have been coerced into joining. Looking forward to more Ingress+DGN (or is that DGN+Ingress) gatherings. -marblez (aka mamanooby)
  10. The ability to get out and do what ever I wanted without having negotiations with someone else about whether it is this - or - that. What I don't miss is not having someone to negotiate with
  11. If it is not yet sold out, I WILL be going. Thank you Troy for turning me onto Leonard Cohen years ago. Everybody knows that the dice are loaded....
  12. I suggest a DGN garage sale of sorts. Possibility 1: A real live sale at a specific location where people can just bring stuff (goth or not) to donate. Even professional services can be donated, like hairstyling or psychic readings or you get the point. These items can be advertised within the scene and sold all at once. A 50/50 raffle is also a possibility at this event. Possibility 2: An avid experienced ebayer collects the donated booty and lists them with all the proceeds minus expenses going to DGN. Possibility 1 is my favorite as it has added marketing and in person gathering potential. I have some stuff I could donate - including a couple of those snazzy purple DetroitGothic.net window decals from years back.
  13. What ya need is someone that can do a good ol' fashioned fund raiser. That could help you by not only bringing in a few bucks but could boost activity too.
  14. Thanks for putting this out there Phee.
  15. Maan, I thought looking through City Club's pictures on FB made me feel old. I don't even have a clue abou the people Slogo mentioned. Nor many of the others either for that matter. My life changed dramatically (as well it needed to) and I had to move on. Still I wll always have a huge soft spot for DGN. My golden age on DGN starred such names as: Troy, ManicQueen, Torn Asunder, WaterLily, Titus, spacin, Reaper, Daevion, Scary Guy, Jane Dead, Jarodaka, Lord Shaper, Brandy Phaedra (forget her DGN name), Gaf, Cowboy Dave, KitKat, Meg, Saechalyn, Nienna, Angelbeast, Taz, ...
  16. 2nd best advice, settle yourself on the fact that it is just a dream and decide to go limp and fall back asleep. Best advice, available upon request - but it's a long story.
