Alright, it's been a fortnight. Reports?

What's the difference between an external hard drive, and a portable one? And between either of those and an internal HD with a docking station, which would you recommend? And why? What are the pros, cons, etc?

That argument would be valid if we lived in a democracy where each vote counts, but that is not the case. We live in a republic, where the only thing our votes do is select the people to make decisions for us. Sure, they usually do it in accordance with popular opinion, but not always.

In Colorado, it is a state law that you must have your ID on you while possessing alcohol, even unopened, no matter how old you are. In Michigan, it is a state law that you must have your ID on you at all times, no matter the circumstance. Many other states have similar laws as well, so technically, even when you're 80, you should still be IDed under most state laws. Most places don't if you're obviously 40 or older, but technically they are supposed to. So, get used to being carded.

As much as I like those barely legal young things, my fiance is 1 year older than me, my last serious girlfriend is 2 years older than me, and my first serious girlfriend is 1 year older than me.

Yeah, I saw that in the Free Press today. I bought a copy just for that article. I've known about most of those laws for years. If I ever ran for office (at any level), my main platform would be rather than continually creating new laws, let's clean up all the old ones. Then, when anything new is made, it's only a trial period for 3-5 years or so. After which the law is reviewed and if it worked/served it's purpose/is a good law/etc. then it can be renewed for 10 years at a time until it no longer serves it's purpose. Otherwise, the law is scrapped.

Mina and GothKytten were the main reason TWB and I went last night though knowing Mstrbeau and Tyger were coming was the kicker that sealed the deal. When we saw the hearse in the parking lot we knew it must be Reaper or Scary Guy. It was Reaper's hearse and we were thrilled to see him chilling at the bar though it turns out that Scary Guy was there as well. Also ran into Siren and learned that Raev is still nursing three broken ribs from Manfast. Great conversations with a bunch of great people and lots of surprises last night and a lot of fun. Saw several others though didn't get much of a chance to talk with them like Storm Knight, Crank, Rambo, et. al. All in all a rewarding evening. It's been far too long since last I went and hopefully it will be sooner than later that I can return.

Aww. :( I was still at work when I got your text. It took about an hour to do all our closing stuff, then I had to drive out and pick up TWB and a lot of waiting for her to get ready, so it was well after midnight before we set out. By then I forgot all about your text but even so it was pretty late to try to work out a ride and stuff. I'm sorry hon. I hope things got better and your night wasn't too bad.

I've been so busy with other things this summer it's been a long time since I've been to City, but I plan on going tonight. I work 'til 11pm so I won't be there until after midnight, but I'm bringing the TaysteeWonderBunny with me. Hopefully some more people can make it out so we won't feel so lonely.
