I'm thinking we have a good showing of interest. (Open question to all including couples) Are there sites I should contact to add to our dating pool or other local groups I should get in contact with to include? (Singles) How many matches would you like to "date" in one setting? I'm hoping for a range of 5-10 "dates" lasting about 10-15 minutes and a mingling hour or 2 afterwards. (Couples) I wrangled Rev. but does anyone else want to help organize/run the event? Unless I can find someone or a group to donate space, there may be a small door fee to balance costs with any surplus to benefit DGN. Is this an issue?

If you aren't documenting the issues now, start. The only way to get bad out is to document, document, document. And if the other members of staff on the shift are willing to sign the report you make for each day- bonus. Turn in once a week and get her out.

I work a pretty wacky schedule, so if the days vary it won't hurt me. But, I prefer to host on a Sunday. My house isn't big enough for kids and the little boogers (nephew included) always end up getting into things they shouldn't at the house- or trying to play with Sid (he's really not good with kids). I've learned- small parrot = scarrier than kid.

I get off work at midnight, but I won't know if my Sunday schedule would allow me to go. You're mostly on the way, so it wouldn't be too bad. It depends on how lively I am by then.

If the event has enough positive interest.... I was thinking about making some cheat cards and having stats cards filled out for each person, so between rounds or before rounds you would be able to have an idea as to the person you're chatting with. I'm open to ideas for that.

I find Sunday afternoons around 5-6 to work well. If people bring a small dish- we get bonus snackage with our conversation. We could do themes like boardgame night, movie night, dress like your favorite fictional character, etc.

I joined a sorority in college, it helped. You do so much and have so much involvement with the campus community, that you can't help but make friends. If you don't want to go the sorority route (can be expensive, dues etc.) then join a club or student org.
