The son confirmed the molestation verbally previous to his father's arrival to the house. (see above bold sections) At 3 am the son had a conversation with the father and Pinkney Sr. didn't arrive at the house until 10 am. That's 7 hours later. That's the statement that would have brought me over the edge. But, God knows what other foul things he said to his father about the circumstances. I'd hate to think he gave details about the molestation. *shudder*

See, I took this part as Rev. stating that he understood from an insane point of view, because he himself feels insane (at times). It's hard for someone else to understand said insanity. (I took it that way instead of being offended, because I am insane- in my own way) That's why I'm not offended and because I'd have gone bonkers for days over that. Perhaps it would have sent me to a looney bin for the rest of my life, mostly because I would have killed someone to save my nephew.

OMG and Rev. I understand your point, but for others it may be harder to grasp if you haven't been put in situations that would allow you to think about it. I was scared shitless something would happen to the nephew. (Story I can't post) I came up with crazy plans in my head for how to deal with the fucker (no evidence of misconduct or a direct person that is aimed at- before I joined DGN and only 1 person on here has met my family), but to the best of my knowledge he has been safe. He's exhibiting some signs that I worry about recently. Man, you don't wanna know what it feels like to think someone would do that to your child, but to knowwould have ended my future. *I put lots of disclosures in statement.

Val and I are contemplating Pimp the House, so after that project or if we ever get the living room clear of yarn.

The interest rate on short term accounts for large funds is higher than a standard business savings account. Just one day of delay earns better interest than having a standard account. (My step-mommy does accounting for a large company)

Val's car qualified and hers might have a value of $500 (93 Saturn something or another that breaks alot) and she would have participated if she had the money to buy another car. Believe me, she really wanted to. I'd been looking into the information for this and the government was also offering tax incentives for the purchase of a new car. (the tax incentive started before Cash for Clunkers) I don't take much stock in most of the chain mail that I get, because it's usually crap. The dealership makes a profit? No shit, and here I thought they were a charity!

Do we have the results to compare crime statistics of a country that does not have high speed chases? I think it at least has an intimidation factor for criminals. I dunno, I don't have enough knowledge on this one.

I can say that I'd go after someone who tried to violate my nieces or nephew. A gun would not be enough. But, when it's family abusing family, in this guy's case his own son abusing his half sister. Man, that would fuck me up in the head. If I were the father I can't even imagine how I would handle it, but if I had my wits I'd have someone restrain me until the son was in custody.

Pretty good actually... I got paid to goof around today! I love when that happens and next week I have a meeting. I hope we play a game. I'm glad work is usually 70% good.

I got the first book in the Nightworld series, but I'm not crazy about the writing style... The plot is decent.
