  1. Bought out... Most smoke shops only carry maybe 2-3 cartons on hand and as legislation was going through, I'm sure they stopped buying.
  2. They aren't on the shelves anymore... :-( Any Canadians wanna do a mail/Paypal system with me?
  3. My feet hurt, but they're really gonna hurt after that Sunday double.

  5. Wondering if Rayne had any luck with those calls. :-)
  6. I could use a neck massage, but really... who couldn't?
  7. Another slow day at work. I love getting paid to play online.
  8. I'm going to die of jealousy. (well not really, but I might) :-)
  9. I recommend a nice Jill Tracy CD or some VNV Nation during the bath. Makes me a happy little camper.
  10. I think the whole board needs to get together for chocolate and board games... Ya'll are too depressed. I'm average for me, but I don't have much in terms of emotion in me to start with anymore. Just a nice numb balance. (dunno if I'll ever get used to that concept, it's interesting)
  11. You might already do this, but call pharmacies for Costco and Samsclub. One of my coworkers was able to save on prescriptions even without insurance that way. It never hurts to call.
  12. I'm thinking... I never really hear much about how border patrol sucks and starts beating on people at random, but we hear about cops all across the country doing stupid things. By that rationale, odds are slim that the border patrol folks are normally volitile. I've never seen a scuffle at a border crossing. Anyone else? It's a condensed area and god knows Detroiters would be talking about anything that happened here for weeks. Because you'd get a good handful of nice chatty witnesses, I'm thinking the guy was nuts. But, that is based on the above mental process.
  13. I was happily surprised by the music. It was awesome. Lots of fun oldschool stuff. Jinx and company still talk too much, but at least they play a good selection.
  14. Marc, I'm grabbing Crystal in Ypsi on the way. You can go with us. Text me.
  15. It's just going to repel lots of us old-schoolers away from the club. Eventually the loss of money will be heard. I just pray they quit playing Shaolyn – Face Down. (I'm not going back until I know they won't.) If they want to get funky and play something different, why not some underground stuff in a different genre? I heard Baxendale got played, and I'm sorry I missed it. I suggest Shock Therapy (the band) or heck- something I've never heard of. See, if they were to do something like that, I think it would be less offensive to the majority and it might be alot more fun! I'm a great fan of mixing things up, but I say go off the beaten track (bad pun) and play some cool underground stuff.
  16. Single folks! I posted some question ideas for speed dating in the poll. Let me know what you think.

  18. I'm bored. Working Sunday afternoons is dull at best.
  19. Times Herald The Canadian science fiction writer was arrested Dec. 8 for assaulting a customs officer while attempting to cross the Blue Water Bridge into Ontario. He claimed in a blog posting the officers gave him an unprovoked beating. A police report, released Thursday by the police department after a Freedom of Information Act request from the Times Herald, describes Watts as unwilling to listen to demands of the customs officers. "As officers began searching the vehicle the driver exited the vehicle and became irate with officers," the report states. "When the subject was ordered back into the car the subject refused." The officers then tried to handcuff Watts "for their safety," but Watts resisted and pulled away. Officer then used several "muscling techniques and (officers) took the subject to the ground." Watts continued to struggle with officers and eventually made it back into his vehicle, the police report states. The customs officer, Andrew Beaudry, then tried to get Watts out of the vehicle, a 2010 Toyota sport utility vehicle owned by Hertz Vehicles of Seattle. During the attempt to get Watts out of the vehicle, Watts grabbed Beaudry "by the collar of his uniform and began choking" the officer, the report states. The officer broke free of Watts and he "did give the subject two elbow strikes to the subject's chest and chin area and a knee strike and was able to break free from the subject in the vehicle." Once the officer separated from Watts, "the subject did come out of the vehicle and still continued to be aggressive towards officers and were (sic) ignoring their commands to go into the arrest positions." Beaudry then sprayed Watts in the face with pepper spray. The spray "did not appear to have any effect on the subject as he wiped his face off and continued to ignore commands from officers."
  20. It will closer to May. We want all the discounts we can get, so I'm going to presurvey people for what kind and how many plants they need before we head out for ease of negotiation.
  21. I've had a similar instict and I've been trying to prepare for it. I really need to get a decent scale garden going and I do actually have the space for a pretty large one. There are a few friends who have large land plots that should be starting large gardens. I never could stress the importance of learning the old crafts to people. I wonder if I could teach myself how to spin wool? (And now we all really think I'm nuts.)
