  1. Also full of shoddy toys . Yeah, I know, People's Republic of China and all, broke off when the original China got all commie about things.
  2. I fail because I don't know my Miyazaki films (have only seen one, SK brought it over for anime night awhile back). *facepalm* Congrats, you just won Japan (Taiwan not included in winnings).
  3. Skinny Puppy - Worlock
  4. Timekiller - Project Pitchfork Cliche I know...but just imagining the music video with all of Peter Spilles' hot German glory gets me : Ironically he is a musician that seemingly always has his shirt unbuttoned like every guy in the 1996 remake of Romeo and Juliet....but it is still not enough .
  5. In a situation such as that you have to understand that you were the kid and he was the adult, the choices he made, unhealthy or otherwise, were his own choices. If he was bent on not being healthy, there was nothing you could have done to stop him. He sounded like a great man from the small excerpt you typed out. You should be glad you had him and vice versa, you could have definitely had waaaaay worse in the father category (i.e. See Chernobyl's sperm donor ). : My inbox is always open for random huggage and you're one of the people on here who has top hug priority.
  6. See? Hence why we thought DBZ because of several reasons: The house we watch South Park at is FULL of DBZ nuts who have almost all of DBZ, DB, and DBGT down pat. I also used to watch it in junior high and high school and I too thought they were making a stab at DBZ. The part in question is when little Goku (or maybe it was Gohan, like I said, it's been a long time) is flying around on Nimbus and there is some cheesy ass J-pop song playing in the same exact style and almost same wording as the South Park C'thulu song. DBZ it is. I will call Achilles later and rub his face in it .
  7. Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams And yes, I'm probably going to post all day regarding what shitty music my Pandora churns out. Just apologizing ahead of time...
  8. Don't You Want Me - The Human League A song that never fails to remind me of Vince Hottie Noir on The Mighty Boosh .
  9. Drink Your Poison (12mx) - Cabaret Voltaire
  10. I and a few of my friends said DBZ. Our friend Ricky insists that it's Never Ending Story. Still not 100%.
  11. Pestilence is taking German next semester at school and I'm probably more excited about it than he is because I finally get to talk to someone!
  12. I think they probably made that reference because it's South Park and not everyone viewing would get a reference such as "It's like a Skinny Puppy concert that never ends." I said the same "WTF" when they said it in the episode, trust me. I've seen NIN once (I know, I was young and dumb ) and it was super not dark at all, just Reznor on stage singing with a band playing. I still thought the line was funny in the show though, regardless of the inaccuracy.
  13. No, not the specific unit. I do know that he was in Patton's 3rd army from North Africa to the end of the war also. He had an above average IQ and so they had him be a medic, which he explained, most likely saved his life due to not being on the front lines (many of his buddies, well MOST of his buddies he left with did not come back). I have yet to read his memoirs, he died when I was in high school but it would still be painful for me to read. His name was James Smith. I will have to ask my grammy more about it. Wouldn't that just be nuts if you're grampa and mine were in the same unit at the same time? Clearly they are both badasses, I can tell you that. But the fact that he smuggled a grenade back with him, which to this day is in my gramma's attic should say enough about the guy . I was the one who discovered it up there awhile ago when I went through his old military stuff, closed the trunk it was in, and never looked in there again.
  14. Yes, not only do I know about it, but it is single-handedly the reason I canceled my cable five years ago and never looked back .
  15. Yeah, can't remember if there are three episodes left in the season or two. Will have to look that up. Almost done though, makes me sad . Then we'll have to wait until spring for more South Park!
  16. We will most likely be there. No turkey is safe .
  17. Iraq did EVERYTHING wrong that it could. That would be like standing out in the street declaring you sell heroin and then bitching that it's "unfair" when a narcotics officer decides to search you. Don't bluff (or seem like you're bluffing) or America will call you on it.
  18. My late grandfather served in Patton's 3rd army. Let's just say I knew all about WWII and the Holocaust at an age where most kids were still focused on Disney bullshit. I always wondered why he would say this, because I felt bad that we bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima, but he'd say "Don't ever feel bad for the Japanese. Feel bad for some of the Germans, but NOT the Japanese..." I didn't get why until I got a little older and did more research on my own . Much of the shit that they did to human beings made the Nazi party look like shit Dennis the Menace did. There was also a great difference in the fact that a DECENT amount of German citizens detested what Nazis were doing whereas it seemed as though Japanese citizens were backing up the horrors that their military was causing 100%.
