  1. I kinda wanna go. Only kinda though. Not huge on Ayria, not hateful of Ayria either. Not huge on Project Pitchfork, not hateful of them either, like them better than I like Ayria. Maybe if I have some extra cash and enough cool people are attending.
  2. Wow....I haven't even taken an official reservation yet and so far the guest list has around 33 "Pretty 100-fucking-percent going to attend" people. This doesn't even include guests. Hey! Well! The park DID say that it would be able to accommodate ONE HUNDRED OF US FUCKERS! Also, reservations are more "fluid" this year, but I'll explain that after I actually reserve the lot, hopefully this weekend. As in they do it "per person" as opposed to "per lot". It will be standard lots like the last two years (one plat, four people on it, up to two tents) just off in our own section on our own lake and when I get to the park they will adjust one way or another the price (either up or down, accordingly). This means you'll still have to pre-pay me of course, but I don't think we're going to have to do the whole "the more people you have on your lot, the cheaper" type system as we had the last two years. It payments will all be independent of each other.
  3. Ten MANPTS if you can drag Troy again. Ten MANPOINTS for anyone able to hunt down and drag in the elusive Troy Spiral.
  4. As an update: The assholes in payroll withheld my check for two weeks. I did not get to go out and look at the campsites...BUT THE GOOD WORD I called them and group reservations are simple to make, less expensive, exactly what we're looking for, and completely Chuck Norris all around. Due to this I was able to wittle all of the choices down to two campgrounds: Brighton (again, but in their group area this year): http://www.michigandnr.com/parksandtrails/Details.aspx?id=438&type=SPRK Waterloo Recreation Area, Chelsea, MI: http://www.michigandnr.com/parksandtrails/Details.aspx?id=506&type=SPRK Pros of Brighton: Is familiar for returning MANFAST enthusiasts. May be closer to you depending on where you live. We already know what we're expecting. Pros of Waterloo: At 20,000 acres, it is the biggest most rugged bear-laden park in the lower peninsula. Is pretty much just as far west as Brighton (give like 10-20 measly miles) but is located lower south for more convenience to those DGNers who live downriver, and I know there's a lot of you. Will be a fresh new experience. Campsite also seems more secluded and off on its own lake, but I'm not going to assume this until I see it myself. This Saturday I'm going out to both locations and physically seeing for myself how everything is set out to get a general feel for the camp. This may seem a tad bit extreme because, well, it is. If you're in my boots though it is not out of the question because for those of you who remember the first annual MANFAST you'll know there was a catastrophe where I called out but did not go out to Brighton and the man on the phone told me that all lots were "secluded, rustic, and what we're looking for" only to get out there to find I had been wrongly informed and made reservation for lots at a glorified trailer park (i.e. no trees, giant grass field, your non-DGN neighbors are literally "Hamtramck" close to you, modern not rustic, etc). I flipped out on them telling the DNR that they ruined by trip so they actually cut some of my cost and moved us all out to Murray Lake (within Brighton Recreation Area) which WAS what we were looking for as you all know since we had MANFAST at that spot last year again. Now you all see why I go out and do an inspection myself now when choosing a new location. I got lucky that first year, but I sure as hell don't want anything like that to happen again. It made me A) Blow a giant gasket and B) Look bad and C) waste the entire afternoon sorting that shit out. So this Saturday, since I got a loan from Boshy due to the fact that I finally got my taxes done and it's money in the bank for her, I'm going out there personally. Probably with beer and fishing rods to be able to fully take in the experience. After this Saturday I will PM EVERYONE AND THEIR FUCKING BROTHER to let them know what the hell is going down. This means anyone who has responded in this thread with even a smidgen of interest, anyone who has gone in the past, and people who I am forcing to go against their will but are not yet aware (this means you, Phee and Troy). Look forward to it.
  5. This explains in a three pane comic strip exactly how I feel about Twilight: I'm sorry, it was TOO amazing not to post.
  6. Rofl, I kinda Glenn Becked that one, didn't I? No...stupid taxes that only go to serve a select portion of society are "forcibly stolen". I put wealth distribution in with that. Taxes should only fund what EVERYONE in the country either uses or has the right/priviledge of using, if they're being used for anything else, I consider it stolen money. I also don't believe the government should make charitable contributions to anything, even if it is a "good cause", unless they have written consent from evvvvvery damn taxpayer in the nation. Charity should weigh on the heart of the individual. It is not up to the government to take money by way of taxation and give it to others when that money was not theirs to begin with, no matter how charitable it may seem. Forcing people to give to charity is not charitable.
  7. Yeah...but I use the roads. So no, it's not forcibly stolen. If it's for the betterment of the community as a whole then it is not being forcibly stolen but if it's for funding stupid shit like unemployment extensions, cash assistance (i.e. welfare), health care reform and banker bailouts? Yeah, those assholes stole my money.
  8. If everyone here cannot tell me who the second one in from the right is, then you lose the right to be gothic/rivethead in the state of Michigan and I will revoke your goth card. After this point you'll only be able to listen to BrokenCYDE and emo bullshit like MCR, HIM, and Evanescence. SO excited about this one. He actually has spoken dialogue (i.e. the whole movie isn't singing), has no mask so we can see his totally face, and according to people who have gone to the screenings over in Europe he REALLLLLLY knows how to work a chainsaw (but anyone that's followed his career this long probably already deducted this).
  9. I actually understand what he's trying to say, I think he's just taking it a bit far. He's talking about "social justice" as a redistribution of wealth which, yes, is against everything I'm against UNLESS it is fully 100% charitable and it didn't have to be forcibly stolen (i.e. taxes) from people.
  10. They've got some of the best mother fuckin' bread pudding I've ever had the honor of putting in my mouth. You have to wrestle their resident dishwasher who is a mutated hunchback just to get some, but when and if you win it's 100% worth it.
  11. CC is much closer than Necto. I hated CC for a good two year span there but they're starting to come back somewhat and play more legitimate goth music and more of the "tourists" have either been going away or drinking a tall glass of STFU before they come in. I've never been to Necto but was a clubbing monster. I REALLY wish they would bring back Dead-Line. Dead-Line was 100% amazing in everyway. Didn't have to listen to bullshit music like CC was playing for awhile (but like I said, CC has improved somewhat), they had pool, two rooms open, kitchen that went all night, and an awesome crowd.
  12. I stopped going there years ago because I don't go to preppy clubs anymore. They USED to have a goth night, but the yuppie invasion of Royal Oak that squelched out all of the goth/punk Corner Kids also hit Luna and pushed us all out. I boycott Luna adamently and have for years.
  13. Also have been searchng on a legitimate (i.e. non-propaganda "Reefer Madness" style bullshit page) as to where marijuana is physicially addictive. I don't want any of the "psychologically, emotionally, or mentally" addictive crap, if we're going to play that then I'm "psychologically, emotionally, and mentally" addicted to DDR, bagels with cream cheese, and EBM/Electro/Industrial, and that stuff is all legal. Anything that is psychologcially addictive should not be illegal. Personally though I don't believe any drugs should be illegal, or any "victimless crimes" for that matter. That's just my view and I know many won't agree with it. The government going after victimless crime saying that stuff IS crime in the first place is creating MORE crime, not solving it.
  14. Patients are not encouraged to smoke it conventionally, they make empty gel-pills, have vaporizers and encourage patients to put it into recipes.
  15. Pain pills are less effective and more harmful to the user. There are more undesirable side effects for pain pills that can lead to things like organ failure. Weed? Well there's benefits to people who DON'T even need it medically. I'm still wondering why anyone debates the pot arguement, it's beyond me.
  16. Why an hour? Clearly these kids are "so talented" that between attending junior high and doing this stuff it probably took them months to come up with this song alone . Give me months and proper equipment I'll make not only a better tune but a full album . And I've never done electro yet, but trust me, I'm sure I could pump out a better album.
  17. Omfg, if DJ Saint or any other CC DJs tried to play this there would be mass hysteria. I personally would be forced to slap him. So please, Saint, don't ever EVER EVVVVER play BrokenCYDE at CC no matter how much the teeny-bopper girls with skewed musical taste beg. Chernobyl may have to choke a bitch if this occurs.
  18. I JUST listened to Hilt yesterday. I'm glad that with my xBox Live account I get a free subscription to Last.fm which is more customizable, accurate, and has more rare shit than Pandora does. You can also skip through songs infinitely. They've also got some Cyberaktif that I hadn't heard in AWHILE and some Rx that I haven't heard at all (haven't gotten Bedside Toxicology and it's hard to download).
  19. If it were emo we would be sad about stuff we don't like! We're goth so we're declaring our hate for BrokenCYDE . I'm down with multitude of musics also, but being musically open-minded does NOT mean forcing yourself to listen to music that is just plain isn't good.
  20. weather turning towards a storm broken down road continue on coexistance imitating paradise unlike any seen moist has been dancing crazy overcast ash grey wording constantly pushing pulling pushes away drew back a rusty knife guilt ladle pour it understand i burn inside how to get out of here how do you get out of this natures revenge nature cage craving wonder the worth of it scream at the top of your lungs so many times tried not to wonder
  21. Found this: Old picture but it reminds me that I really need more suits.
  22. To contrast Eevee sharply with uber industrialocity, mine is Detroit: And probably Chernobyl if I ever got to go there:
