  1. Meh, doing okay here, yourself?

  2. Welcome aboard! You find us from a bumper sticker? (I can see who/what referred you because I'm a moderator) What kind of car out of curiosity?

  3. Wow, 33 posts and you only joined yesterday...? I am impressed.

  4. Welcome, I already left a comment on your profile, and I know Sglgothmom from MANFAST last summer. Nice to have you on board .
  5. If an article has to tell you HOW to either A) Be goth B) Throw a goth wedding or C) Fool everyone into thinking that you're goth and threw a goth wedding or any combination there of...you are most likely not goth at all. Thanks, please drive through.
  6. Wait...so the thing is that they lock you up in a prison or jail and people have to donate money to get you out of there? $1,600 is a STEEP bail! That would have had to have been a felony :. I may donate money if I have it. I would volunteer to be one of the inmates but even though it's fake - no WAY I'm going back to jail, even if it's pretend! Good luck either way. I didn't even get to jail, I was just in a holding cell each time for like 8 hours, but that's definitely bad enough.
  7. :( It interferes with my work schedule. I'm actually great with kids and like OTHER people's children (people always assume I'm a child eating witch just because I don't have/want any of my own) but during the weekdays I work also. I could do weekends, I never ever work weekends, but how long of a shift would weekends entail? I'm trustworthy, I do NOT steal (I even feel bad when I accidentally take pens from banks), I know all there is to know about proper parenting (not saying I'd be parenting your kids or anything, I just know what to do in most difficult situations), I'm punctual, nothing crazy like drugs in your house or bringing guys in your house (I know this would seem VERY obvious, but my mother had issues with those two things when I was being babysat as a child, usually happens when you hire teens as sitters though), etc.
  8. Lamenting over the loss of Pest's kittuh. It may not be the same pain as losing my own childhood kitty in August, but the pain is that I know what he's going through, as I just went through the exact same thing, and I hate seeing him torn up.
  9. Coming home yesterday morning to find Pestilence's childhood cat dead. The two things that make me even sadder is that the cat was specifically very attached to Pest's mom, we were just taking care of him until she could get on her feet again which is to happen shortly since she got a great new job and promotion, and she has been so busy working and taking classes that she wasn't able to come out and see him before he went. I'm sad for her as I know what it's like to be that busy and not knowing something like this would happen and I'm also very sad for the kitty because he never got to see his mom again. *sigh* One thing after another. Oh and a company cashed a check that they were supposed to be holding for me until December...two days ago. So when 6-7 of my other bills hit my account it bounced it 6-7 times.
  10. As always, your wardrobe makes me want to cry tears of jealousness. BUT, I have been working on upgrading my lolita wardrobe lately, it's been a slow going because I've been too broke to even buy fabric, but I started making this cute patchwork black/chartreuse/yellow skirt and it's going good so far .
  11. Pestilence and I are too poor to make it. *sits in a corner and pouts* Well, that's just better for The Gimp and StormKnight, Pestilence and I would have eaten you guys under the table! ...that didn't sound right, did it?
  12. I would LOVE TO ANNOUNCE: CHERNOBYL HAS A BALLY'S MEMBERSHIP AND GOES EVERY MOTHER FUCKING DAY! FUCK YES! FINALLY! Pestilence also goes with me. He has not an ounce of fat on his entire person but would like to build muscle. I'm not quite sure how it's possible to build muscle being a robot and all, but I just humor him and enjoy his company none-the-less. AND...our fairly thick friend, Timata, who is at 260 lbs atm also signed on and is GUNG-HO motivated about losing weight. I've been trying to train him in weights (without prior knowledge of weight training you can injure yourself or have an ineffective workout) and have been giving him tips to effective cardio. We're going to be a slim household, yes we are! It'll be funny seeing him skinny too because as long as he's been my Bro he's always been around 250-300, the lowest he went down was 230 when we were playing Dance Dance Revolution regularly. Now with the gym plus DDR we will be unstoppable fit, toned, and svelte forces of nature! Kay...I will calm down now .
  13. Ivy Cat!!! I'M SO SORRY I was not in attendance last night, I feel like a giant turd log now, I had something come up last minute but I should have at least gone out of my way to gift my ticket to another DGNer :-( Can I ever be forgiven? lol Really it was not intentional, I really would like to have gone, I had a blast the first time I went.

  14. A little late, but nice to see you too. I'm mad because I wanted to go to Oblivion last night but I had important business come up and I couldn't go! :-(

  15. Wait...they've played those bands at CC before? WOW... I throw that in there with the Justin Timberlake - "Jizz in my Pants" category . Awful :, that shit has no place at a goth/scene oriented club. Maybe if we want the jocks to go away we should stop playing their music and start playing ours again? Last night was a good start.
  16. I second this, other clubs in the area that are non-goth almost always have some type of dress code, but that would be hard to pull at CC for a few reasons. Where do you start? Do you say "well you have to wear all or some black" and that kind of limits people...or "no overtly preppy-ish people"? That's discriminating (even though they do it to us). It would be a hard line to draw...because if you said "well no jeans and t-shirts" what about the casual goth or metalhead that shows up in some tight ass 80s style jeans and a Ministry T-shirt? Technically, nothing would be inappropriate about that choice either, but according to the rules it would be against dress code. I think they should work SOMETHING out like that...but it would have to be worded VERY specifically. Or you could just have me stand at the door and play Fashion Police all night with a sign reading "If you get past Chernobyl's outfit inspection then you get in". But yes, I am VERY for the idea, and always have been.
  17. Who was it that lost their buzz? Oh and this is Cherny bouncing in to say: I'll be back with my full review after I get done cleaning this bitch ass house of mine. I will say first, and formost, that I have NOT been pleased with CC the last five times I have gone over the past few years. I thought the music was poppy bullshit oriented towards jocks (I mean Justin Timberlake - Jizzed in My Pants...WTF. Srsly?) and has no place at a goth club, there had been more preppy people than goths when I went (which is like going to RenFest but all the people walking around in jeans and t-shirts ruins the atmosphere), etc. I didn't like where the club was going AT ALL. I thought they were more about trying to get ANYONE in there to give them money then caring about the scene itself...something I look down upon HIGHLY. BUT...last night I had a VERY decent time. For the first time in awhile the music was not 100% suckass, they actually had a somewhat decent playlist with a lot in there to please everyone...AND, I would like to announce, they FINALLY PLAYED A SONG REQUEST OF MINE! I actually WROTE them a paragraphs long thank you note also because, well, when someone does something good you should praise them for it. So whatever DJ that was, thanks Also, douchebaggery was at an all time low. I did not see any problems with stupid tourists ruining our good time, Crank had even mentioned that CC was starting to realize that they were driving away all of the OGs (Original Goths ) and they're trying to come down hard on douchebag tourists that quite honestly shouldn't even be there imo. That's just me though. So CC...you WILL see Chernobyl more often now Keep up the good work, good to see the club going back in the right direction
  18. Exactly, sorry HH, I have no clue how ending the pumpkin carving tradition and not buying pumpkins anymore would have anything to do with this. If they didn't have a pumpkin to throw, they would have thrown something else.
  19. I just got done appreciating Glass Houses by Skinny Puppy, getting pumped about their upcoming concert.
  20. I'd PM Raev ASAP, I thought he wrote that thy had to be in on 10/31.
  21. I'd contact him about that because the one on the front page is generic and I believe the flyers you get e-mailed to you have to be issued from Raev and have your name on them, but he may be able to work something out with you if you PM him right away.
  22. That's what this country gets for its false utopian ideals that we can all hold hands, hug, and sing and it will change the minds of Muslin extremists. I am not saying that all Muslims are extremists, especially in this country, the case is quite the contrary. Most Muslim citizens that I know on a personal basis are good and hardworking people and completely disagree with extremist views...BUT, since at this disjuncture there is no REAL way to discern who is who, I don't believe someone who could possibly be the enemy of this war should be allowed in. It is very harsh, I wish it wasn't like that, but as I said there is NO way to tell who is a good Muslim and who is an extremist until something like this happens and it's too late. Had he been more organized, had more people, had not been taken out as quickly...I wonder what the death toll would have been then?
  23. Sims 3 rules hard, welcome to DGN. I'm going into normal law enforcement, not sure where I'm going to want to work yet (MI is crappy for cop jobs right now), but I'm taking classes at MCC.
