The LAST Dead-Line @ The Works... 10/21
Destroit replied to wilhelm k's topic in Nightlife, Events & Concerts
Lipsticks in Clinton Twp just opened up a goth night, it's RIGHT behind my old condo and where Boshy still lives. I have a feeling that it won't have the authentic music and atmosphere that Dead-Line does though . -
Downtown Mt. Clemens? Where is it?

The LAST Dead-Line @ The Works... 10/21
Destroit replied to wilhelm k's topic in Nightlife, Events & Concerts
NOOOOO! Why is it the last one? This blows, here goes one of the few good nights in the area, I was hoping it would become really popular. I enjoyed it the few times I was able to make it. -
Exhausted, but feeling good from DDR.

Not much of anything, a few friends are over and they're playing Nazi Zombies and I'm about to rock either The Sims 3 or World of Warcraft. Party central here, man . Hopefully we're going to be able to move into here officially in a week or two.

It hurts MUCH less and for me only hurt for a day. I was eating that day (it's odd getting used to eating at first, but it only days a day or two to catch on) and was fine. Didn't bleed much and I didn't get infected because I used alcohol-free mouthwash. It stings right after being pierced for about 15 minutes but it's very bearable, more annoying than painful. 2. I wouldn't recommend gauging it. Pierce it with a 14, if you gauge it that runs the possibility of it getting all loose and blown out whereas when they pierce you with a 14 gauge it's a nice clean hole. The needle hurts less than getting your ear pierced because when they do your ears they use a solid needle that PUSHES your skin through instead of making a nice clean punch-hole. When they pierce your lip they use what is called a hollow needle (may have fancier terminology, I'm not sure) which is basically set up almost in the same way as a needle for a syringe in that it has a VERY sharp pointed tip and is hollow all the way through. This literally hole punches your skin (there's a good sized chunk of lip that ends up IN the needle when all is said and done, which imo, is the grossest part) and makes it a nice clean punch with no pushed through skin, excessive scabbing, or the "stretched" look. It also causes it to hurt less and heal better. Go with a 14 and leave it. 3. If you can stand the pain then go for it. I'm a secretary and what I used to do when I FIRST got it pierced. I would keep a normal metal post in my lip (sans the ball at the end) and whenever someone would come by I'd pull it into my mouth with my teeth and hide it in my cheek. When they'd walk away I'd push it back through with my tongue and everyone was none-the-wiser. Anybody who must hide a piercing has their own method, if you get a 14 gauge piercing you can probably put a plastic retainer in it right away no problem, but everyone is different and everybody has a different pain tolerance. So if you know you're a pussy, then keep that in mind. 4. I think they say up to 3 weeks, but really only 1. I was changing it out within the first few days no problem. Everyone is different but like I said 1 week it should be healed enough. 5. There is a special kind of mouthwash you buy, I can't remember the name of it but I may be able to ask a friend later and find out. Basically any mouthwash that DOESN'T have alcohol in it is good. Avoid dairy or you could get a yeast infection in your mouth (thrush) for maybe the first two-three weeks. I mean you don't have to avoid EVERYTHING with dairy in it, like butter should be fine, anything with dairy baked in it, recipes with dairy cooked into it, but stuff that is straight dairy or known to cause problems, yogurt being the big one, straight milk, I think ice cream in some cases, should be avoided for the first two to three weeks. Labret piercings, when dairy is avoided and the proper mouthwash is used, have a relatively low infection rate compared to other piercings (belly buttons have a HUGE risk for infection when pierced, for instance) and are very low maintenance. Something else to note, if you use metal posts and you know that you fidget with things in your mouth (i.e. I bite EVERYTHING, you should see all of my pens), they should be avoided and you should either go with plastic or if you still like the look of metal try to go with a capture bead hoop or horseshoe one. Personally I think they look nicer anyways, I usually wear the horseshoe style ones because like I said I bite on it if I wear a post. That and with the horseshoe ones you get to put on TWO separate acrylic balls instead of just one. Also the metal tends to come in different colors, right now mine is a black hoop with one yellow ball and one green ball to match my awesomeness . The reason I'm bringing all this up is that if you do wear a post and fidget with it and bite down a lot on the backing of the post, then you WILL ruin your teeth and regret it. I'm not even talking over time, either, I'm talking that your front teeth will be ruined in just 3-4 years and will start to rot. If you do choose to wear posts then make sure they are as short as can fit your lip, this also cuts down on fiddling with it because it's not jutting into your mouth and annoying you, the backing is snuggly up against the inside of your lip. My favorite style, horseshoe style (so you know what I'm talking about): See how you get the option of two different color balls and they are on the ends of a hoop of whatever color? I like it because they provide the most customizability, they cut down on fidgeting, and are the easiest to put in and take out. Posts: Many people like them because they're more casual, less extravagant, more discreet than the horseshoe or capture bead, and don't get in the way of lipstick. Some people are also bothered by the feeling of something wrapping around their lip all day. I generally avoid them because I'm a known teeth ruiner, but as shown by the picture, I do wear them on occasions when I'm being more casual or it seems to go better with a particular outfit. Capture Bead Hoop: I had to SEARCH for this picture, I wasn't even sure I had a picture of me with one in because I don't really care for them, they're my least favorite style. They take steady hands to put in, snap out a lot (the ball doesn't screw in, it CLICKS in IF you're lucky...and that's a BIG if). They don't provide the color customizable fashion-awesomeness that horseshoes do (they usually come as a hoop with the same color ball, and there's only one ball, as seen in the picture), but I always throw them in as an option because some people like them. Some have no problems putting them in, practice I guess, and they have the same effect as the horseshoe ones while being more sleek and discreet. Hope some of this stuff helps, like I said I can try to find out the name of the particular mouthwash that 99% of piercers recommend later, I just can't think of it right now because I had mine done about 4-5 years ago. If you can think of anything else you want to know, then ask away.

They're anti-war to a point that's illogical and they're trying to "bribe" him to get completely out of Afghanistan/Iraq even if it means that it will backfire on us in the near future (which I'm sure it would, you don't just start a fight like that, pull out for no reason, and have the other party NOT come and attack you). They're fucking crazy.

What do you consider cheating?
Destroit replied to Ratsel's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
+1000 logic points. The other thing is that some girls don't get it becaus they think "well doesn't the guy think this is hot?" and for the record, no, not all guys are into watching lesbos either, so you might as well be cheating on them with a dude. -
Shadow Bar? I know where I'm never going now. Sorry to hear that the owner is so shitty, I mean if he HAD to cancel it, he could have been less of a douche and at least gave you a reason...AND been man enough to actually call you or meet in person.

I feel like I just walked into the doomsday thread of gothyness! Well, it IS a goth board, what else should I expect? I feeeeel...like my new house hates me and doesn't want me to move in. It's the two month anniversary today of purchasing it and yet there's so much to be done we're probably STILL few weeks, or more, away from inspection and everyone is getting antsy about wanting to move in...YET...won't fucking help me do shit. The only one who has helped a lot besides Pestilence and Boshy has been Jabberwok, so let's just say I'm pretty disappointed in my potential roommates and don't like the signs of this, which is bad because we're not even living there yet. Timata is fine...but a certain other person who is moving in has not done SHIT to help out and hasn't even contacted us to hang out in over three to four weeks. (End Rant)

Welcome. What kind of car was the bumper sticker on, out of curiosity? Either way, see you around

How to rid one's house
Destroit replied to Homicidalheathen's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
See, I'm the opposite, I show up at friends' houses whom I know don't have a car or doesn't always have access to it (generally we do this to Jabberwok), tell him that we have candy, food, puppies, free money, beer, etc at our new house, get him in the car unsuspectingly and drive to our new hovel in Warren. Once he gets out he realizes that it was actually entrapment and we put him to work and let him know that we will return him home when he is finished remodeling our house. We pay him in his freedom to leave . I'm sure it's pretty unorthodox behavior but it's how Chernobyl gets shit done. He's already helped take out our fence, take down our awning, put in our insulation, and knock down ghetto drywall in the basement...FOR FREE! All using this spectacular and highly effective entrapment method. What a friend . -
How to rid one's house

I pick them up by their balls and/or vagina and then throw them out. There are other methods than this? Interesting. I haven't had to use anything else yet. -
What do you consider cheating?
Destroit replied to Ratsel's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
The key to old school style relationships are communication, trust, similar interests and, in the modern age, 99% luck. As people are straying away from organized religion morals are going by the wayside, quite honestly, the only reason cheating morals really exist is because of these old school ways of religion, it's a leftover from the past and you can't expect everyone to live in the past. In nature, monogamous relationships really do not work and aren't natural, and quite honestly they are not natural to humans either, so anyone in a monogamous relationship could be considered a bit of a prude :. If that's what you choose to go with, that's fine, but just know that now since people are wising up to the religion-control-machine (particularly things like Christianity) all of the illogical things like cheating laws will be thrown by the wayside because freedom is usually more valuable, especially to men, than any one particular vagina and that's the way the world is and the way we generally work (everyone varies in natural libido though also). Most people compromise being in a relationship by possibly exploring with other partners or even getting time alone/together to watch a dirty movie and let their imaginations go to work. If you are looking for someone monogamous, you will want to look in maybe church groups or groups/clubs for singles looking for other singles exclusively, not CC. CC is very sexually charged and sexually open, most people don't like to be tied down, and SADLY I've met many an asshole who will tell you what you want to hear just to get you in bed and then leave you. Personally, from an evolutionary standpoint looking at the behaviors of other primates (bonobos in particular) humans are formatted for open, swinging, type relationships where there is one or two favorite partners and then more who you fuck around with. Personally I don't think it means you don't love the other person, you love them so much that you trust them to still be your main squeeze when all is said and done . Also, from your post you seem to expect A LOT out of men, like a knight in shining armor type deal, but in men under 40 chivalry is dead usually, it went away when we wanted rights and to be treated equal. You can't always have your cake and eat it too. You seem to have too negative of a view of men hence why you are probably also seem to attract negative men, it's almost like you're trying to prove a point, and you keep finding men that reinforce that point. It's probably not something you do on purpose, it seems like it may seem like a subconscious type thing, but the red flags around this is that you said that many of these guys came from CC. Knowing it's reputation why try to get guys from there? After hearing the stories and dating one, maybe TWO, expecting what you're expecting I'd be like "ehhh...pass on those guys from now on." Keep doing your thing, ask all the right questions, look all the right places, hold a four leaf clover for luck, and you'll get a guy who wants to be exclusive. But in order to not watch internet porn? GodDAMN. That's tough. I'd break up with a dude if he was so jealous he told me I couldn't watch some smut, so I will say that's a bit strict, but again, imo. So with EXTREMELY strict standards such as this, the search MAY take a bit longer than with most people because you require criteria that's a bit harder than others, so you need to understand this also. -
That's why society is nuts! Crazies I tell ya , I still don't get the attraction to girls and never ever will. I get why guys like girls but I will NEVER get why girls like girls unless they're straight lesbian, but I guess it's also not my place to judge others' sexualities (even though people do it to me alllll the time ) Sucks that I missed it, I have been meaning to check it out, I was broke this weekend and Dryloking the basement in my new house so I didn't make it. I won't know if I like it until I go, I thought I was going to hate Oblivion because I thought it was going to just be a bunch of girls on stage shaking their shit, but was pleased when I found out there was actually a lot of talent involved with the shows. I will try to make the next one in February.

There should be no grey area in this, the girl was 13 and was saying "no", that's that. He should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I can't believe there are people who are defending him. It's not even grey area such as, if it was like this, where the girl was maybe like 17, had no drinks and was consensual. I could MAYBE, and that's a BIG maybe, see why people might then push for a lighter charge....but 13, drunk, and saying "no"? Like I said, doesn't have a leg to stand on.
