There is a window behind the bathtub, believe it or not: Punky's Room (the nasty nicotine soaked carpet is gone): Timata's Dolphin-Infused Room: We have no hallway, we have this rotunda thing. It is central in the house and the bathroom, staircase to our room, Timata's room, the living room, and Punky's room comes off it. The only way to enter it is through the kitchen. The house is laid out like most older prisons, ironically enough: Creepy basement, sans plumbing when this pic was taken: Bathroom in the basement and the last homeowner's preference in beer: Brittany's Lair (there were FIVE girls living in this one room, I deducted this by the writing on the walls): And lastly, before we go outside, the place where the last homeowner overdosed on 30 ecstacy pills...OUR room: My garage: Back of house and backyard:

NOTE...this house cost me $8,000 CASH. I never have to pay a single house payment again for the rest of my life and I'm 24. Fuck yes. Chernobyl's financial smarts FTW! I must thank Boshy for raising me to be stingy and yet still know when to spend money in order to have fun. As any of you who have read my thread in the "Relationship/Homelife/Pets" forum would know, I just bought a CRAZY house in Warren. I fucking love it. Seriously the best decision I have made in my life other than taking in Gitzie and deciding in a drunken haze 3 and a half years ago at CC when And One was playing that I was going to make out with my then best friend. Many of you know him as Pestilence. So, as I promised, here are pictures of my wacky house. It's starting to come along already, Punky's room is already 90% painted, Timata's room is like 40% painted, there's other shit that needs to be done, we're going to work on it today. Hopefully will be moved in there with a certificate of occupancy in 2-3 weeks. But this is what the house looked like on the day that we closed on it (August 11th) and you will ALL marvel in its hoodocity. Since I do NOT do sexy Halloween outfits because I think it's dumb, we're doing a group costume. We're being Mighty Boosh villains. I'm going to be everyone's favorite scaley manfish, Old Gregg, Pestilence will be the most terrifying character on the show, The Hitcher, and I think we're making Jabberwok be the Spirit of jazz. We're making Timata be Howard Moon, but I'm not sure if even he knows this yet.

WOW...that's awful! Tygerlili is too young to lose a parent. I know there is nothing I can say that will take that sort pain away from her. I'm not sure if she is religious/spiritual, but in her mother's benefit and her's I will pray for their family before I sleep tonight and her mother's safe travel to the world after this. They almost always play it, they did for the Mythrus Tour and I believe they did for Greater Wrong of the Right regularly (I missed that one, but have the DVD for it). It's orgasmic live, you can feel the song rip RIGHT through you, it's ecstacy. One of the most beautiful live performances I'll ever witness, especially THAT particular song. Good choice

Yeah, I was sad when I found out I missed it also. I found out maybe 3 days after the show. And I'm skipping KMFDM on Oct. 2nd because I've already seen them once and while I like them as a band obviously their live show isn't really all TOO impressive.

Yes, believe it or not there was a time in my life BEFORE I knew who Skinny Puppy was because I had the displeasure of being raised and forced to attend Fraser Public Schools, which is jock central. I actually discovered them through the one other goth kid in school, but that was early high school, and Korn/Manson/Deftones stuff got to me earlier seeing as I was 13 in 1998 when all that was going on. My favorite band was actually Orgy because I had never heard sounds like that before and well...it was five hot cyber dudes in a band called "Orgy" and may I re-iterate that I was 13? Hey we all listened to stuff that wasn't as up to par when we were kids, we were kids. It's not even necessarily true that I liked all of it, but when I was 13 I was mistaken that people like Manson were King Goth, simply because I didn't know better. If you don't know there's anything better out there, you're probably going to listen to the mundane stuff. There were a few songs off LPs first record that were okay, everything after has been total garbage. And I've NEVER liked Deftones really, that's the one band EVERYONE got into and it pissed me off . I dunno why, I think maybe I like one of their songs but at this point in time I can't even remember what it was called.

True, but there IS an album and it's done and sitting there. Maybe they are trying to get a bigger show pull by putting the tour first and then the album after? It is great marketing, I wouldn't put it past Ogre and cEvin because they are great minds.

What I think is weird about this In Solvent See tour, is that there is NO album yet. It's recorded, sitting there, they weren't sure if they were going to be able to release it OR go on tour because of the bankruptcy shit with their record label, but here we are they and they're touring...but still no album? Baffles meh. Also, on a side note, it took me like 10 minutes to figure out that In Solvent See is a play on the word "Insolvency". I guess I'm a little slow sometimes...?

I know, it would be different if goth and real industrial EVOLVED but quite honestly it's DE-EVOLVED into dumb dance beats and "scary" lyrics. It's sad that we started out with great bands like Skinny Puppy and all that and now we're degraded down into dance beat mind-numbing gibberish like CombiChrist (just as an example, there's definately more than just them). Basically goth/industrial sold out just like punk. There is no "real" punk anymore, it's been dead for years, and has been replaced by watered down mainstream bullshit like Good Charlotte and Green Day. Why is it that the masses, whom should just stick to shopping at The Gap, feel the need to come along every few years or so and destroy someone else's scene? They already have the fucking mainstream, wtf do they want? Hence why I stopped going to CC, they CLEARLY don't support the scene, so why should I support them with my money? Even if they do try to cater to the scene somewhat (and for the record the last FIVE times I went they didn't play anything worthwhile, no matter how many times it was requested, it was all trancy ambient DEMF techno crap) they pretty much are trying to get all these tourists in the door. You go there now and see so much Abercrombie clad jocks...wtf is the point of going to an "alternative" club at that point? Which is why people have seen me pop into Dead-Line but not CC, I go in there and NEED to leave after about a half hour, which is a waste of my time and money I arrive, get angry that it turned into a preppy club or a club where preppy girls can dress up and play sexy-Halloween (i.e. their take on Goth/Rivethead lifestyles) and it makes me pissed, so I leave, and then being bukkaked in shitty music also doesn't help the cause. /end rant Sorry, I know, I'm opinionated about goth/industrial and where it's headed (and imo it's not pretty), I'm not trying to offend anyone just stating my opinion which is backed up by a decent amount of fact. It's aight, like I said, I joke about things ALL the time and sometimes I'll accidentally ruffle someone's feathers with something I think I'm saying jokingly and in jest. I have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor that doesn't always translate easily into type. You can continue to listen to bands that could be consider emo-ish, I'll continue to listen to non-goth music like Goldfrapp, Frou Frou, Fischerspooner, Metric, and Dethklok and we can live harmoniously together all on DGN . But NOT those fuckers that listen to COUNTRY! BLECH! (j/k again )

Actually, all of those bands PLUS Gary Numan, Bjork, and Radiohead and you have my playlist . Really just the first album of LP though, brings me back to being in high school, a much simpler time of my life filled with hope and no bills.

Sorry...? I don't bother to defend bands I like, I like them, period. A good band doesn't need the defense of fans, imo, their music should speak for itself. Not everyone is going to agree on musical tastes here. Wasn't going out of my way to offend, just if I hear a band's music being played in a Hot Topic, I automatically gauge them as either bubblegum punk or emo, which is indeed a bi-product of mainstream preppy culture and not of the gothic/rivethead subculture (hence why Hot Topic itself is owned and operated by The Gap / Old Navy and you always see cheerleaders walk in there and walk out "dark and angsty" because mommy wouldn't get them a Corvette for Christmas or their boyfriend broke up with them on the playground, which is why I am pretty adament in my boycotting of their merchandise). My Chemical Romance, Marilyn Manson (especially now that he is 100% in the emo fadstream category to me now after hearing his last two shit albums), Fall Out Boy, Evanescence (sp?) especially, Boys Like Girls, Panic at the Disco, etc, all of those types of bands, I throw them all in the same category, it's just how I am, I categorize music a LOT. I just came in here to post in what I figured would be the already-existant thread about the Godfathers of Modern Industrial/EBM/Electronica-ish music coming to town and couldn't find such thread and then glanced down, saw two non-goth bands being promoted, and just threw them into the title. Wasn't trying to make anyone in particular angry, for the record I don't even know what members created either of those threads. People like what they like, I don't listen to Industrial/electro/EBMish stuff ALL day, every so often I need a Madonna break myself .
