  1. Anyone who pushes, berates, and/or insults doesn't actually believe (or disbelieve) in what they claim. There's your answer. Sadly...I DO see it coming more from athiests than religious people (used to be the other way around). Since I fit into neither of those categories, I kinda just sit back and watch both parties' silliness, and fighting about an answer unable to be known with faulty logic from both sides. For instance, you can tell that the respondent on Yahoo Answers is biased against Christianity automatically. Most likely raised in a militantantly religious household, he automatically assumes that this person is speaking on behalf of Christianity...when NO DENOMINATION or religion had been stated by the person. He then vilifies the religion, the one that the original person had not even claimed to have been discussing, and even adds things that are not in Christian religious texts to "support" his cause. When people don't have any argument...they lie and make things up. So...sounds to me that someone is uncomfortable with their own atheism, if they weren't...why would they spend precious hours of their life trolling people on the internet they will never meet in order to feel better and more adequate about their own existence? It's not like, according to this guy, there is an afterlife or anything...so you only get to do it once, sounds like wasting time to me .
  2. I'm so in on this whenever you guys do it. While it doesn't replace the real club, it does the trick. A feature that I DO like better than a real club is that everyone talking is talking to everyone in the group at once without having to yell. Bad part...is there is no bar...and my avatar does not come with a little pixel lighter for epic ender songs like Wynardtage - With or Without You.
  3. There is a headline on MSNBC this morning that reads: "Obama: 'There Are Plenty of Ways Out of This Mess'" I agree with him that we DO need a new President...
  4. Bad for Gitzie. I thought all the cats were in the house last night, so when I was awoken by that huge storm last night I didn't think to go see if any of them wanted in. I guess I was wrong, because she was waiting AT the door this morning, which almost never happens.
  5. LOVED IT! WAS SAD THAT THERE WEREN'T MORE DGNERS WHO WANTED TO SHARE THE LOVE WITH LEET DJs, MYSELF, TROY SPIRAL, AND THE COOL DGN CROWD WHO SHOWED . Now that my disappointment is out there, I and my entourage had an AWESOME time. Everyone got super wasties for cheap (except me, I try not to look sloppy in public anymore so I got to come home to some El Toro after a slight warm-up at the bar). I danced so hard in those heels that I contemplated cutting my feet off when I got home instead of merely removing my shoes. And I got two requests played  ! Partied with Black Jack, James, Iris, Ricky, obviously Saint and Nocker (whom I now lump into one title, as I consider you married at this point ), Nocker's lovely gf (it's okay...I won't tell her about you and Saint ), Drunkishi, wormsinwomb, Doc was there, electrosonik, and more that I'm assuredly missing. Looking forward to next time as always .
  6. Can't stop eating everything in the house...SEND HELP (or Ho-Hos ).
  7. SUPER PUMPED! I hope to see as many of you out that can make it. Even if you can only stop off for an hour or so, it would be nice to see your faces .
  8. If I think anymore violently and with such aggression, my thoughts will start to tear people in half.

  10. Most use imagery to paint a picture...why do I use words? Seems to be rather unconventional media, and yet, many others do it too.
  11. If God had semen, it would probably be apple juice.
  12. If construction was a verb, we would have a lot less of it.
  13. Sounds like a cleverly engineered money trap to me. Worse than crap like Kaplan and University of Phoenix.
  14. Super pumped for DGN's 10 Year Birthday Party tomorrow: http://www.detroitgothic.net/index.php?showtopic=35760 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=137547462997168 If you're reading this, then you're probably on DGN...so you should go! FREE COVER
  15. Indeed, we're encouraging people to meet up at Industrial Wednesday this week to celebrate , so I hope to see as many people there as possible.
  16. Year One - Never saw it because I thought it was going to be stupid, but a good amount of it was legitimately funny, especially a lot of the conversations. Interesting blend of Tenacious D and the Superbad crew. I always love everything that Michael Cera is in, same with the McLovin kid, for some reason, they're hilarious in every movie. The Proposal - Not into chick flicks at all, but this was not half bad for being in said category. There were of course moments of cheesiness, but I actually like Sandra Bullock's character a lot, I thought she was witty. Betty White is SO FUCKING ADORABLY FUNNY I wanted to reach through the screen and hug her little old ass to death. Not my normal genre selection, but I ended up thinking it was at least worth the watch. Green Lantern - Basically a movie about a ring which chooses Ryan Reynold's decently attractive pecs and abs to wield energy-based powers (yadda...yadda, nearly everyone should know at least that part already). Lot of flashy stuff, sufficiently followed the original story, and quite honestly he was pretty cut out for the role, imo. The movie was filled with massive visual blends of green and yellow, so...bonus .

  18. I know that they don't normally name hash (usually takes on the name of the weed it was derived from), but in honor Trailer Park Boys, best show from the north EVAR, they need to have a kind of hash called "Canadian Driveway". Anyone who is lulzing at that clearly is a TPB fan as I am .
  19. I both understand and agree with his sentiment (let the flaming begin), but I don't believe killing anyone, especially random people whom are most likely not at fault for anything excepting living their daily citizen lives, is the way to solve things. I believe in cultural diversity and tolerance. I don't believe in forced cultural takeover and elimination by one group onto another. It was wrong when white people did it to black people. It was wrong the multiple times Asian countries have tried it on each other (Japan on China really comes to mind with this). It was wrong when Britain dropped off several places surrounding the Indian ocean and forcibly wiped/modified the culture out in that area. It was bullshit when preppy tourists came into CC JUST to make fun of US in our "natural habitat", if you want to think of it as such. Native Americans are STILL pissed off that they were pushed into small percentages, and fucking hell, they certainly have the right to be mad. It's wrong that a huge amount of the Muslim community has dedicated their existence to wiping out white "Western" culture, and they should be stopped. When a "team" has DECLARED publicly that they are our enemy and are trying to kill us and/or breed us out of the world...it REALLY makes you think "wtf is our problem?" for not standing up and doing something about it. In Britain they've even tried to make Sharia Law a country spread thing, even for indigenous Caucasian people . If that isn't a red flag to us...then maybe we're stupid enough to want to be wiped out. Australia was the SMARTEST country in all of this. They basically said "We don't mind immigrants, but when the immigrants attempt to forcibly take over traditional Australian ways, they've gotta go." America is the only country it would not work in because we are a country founded on cultures taking over, that's what we're about, that IS the "American Way". We've done it SO much to other cultures...I guess maybe it IS karma (or our own stupidity in trying to be "politically correct", all the time and holding hands to sing the Barney "I Love You, You Love Me" bullshit while people stand there and throw stones in our face taunting us all). This entire thing is what the Serbian war was about, they would actually select young Muslim girls as "breeders" SPECIFICALLY forcing them to have 12-13 kids IN ORDER to wipe out the indigenous Serbians. WRONG WRONG WRONG, SICK AND DISGUSTING.
