  1. I wish I had mashed potatoes, those are my favorite to play with
  2. I'm thinking I wish had one friend, just ONE FRIEND, who works nights like I do so I'd have someone to hit up the park with on this beautiful winter day. Now I'm thinking how lame it is I don't have a dog, because he'd be down to go to the park with me. I really want my own dog, but this isn't my house and it isn't my call.
  3. Ahh thank you, technology has come far! That band is in my top five, and that song is in my top 5 by them. I'm glad you enjoyed Whole album is definitely worth a listen. One of the greatest guitarists ever to have lived... he passed away last week, at age 66 :( I've been jamming him a lot more since then.
  4. I've honestly thought every vocalist worked with them quite well. I kinda view it the way a lot of people view Black Sabbath and Ozzy/Dio... seperate but equal. For instance my favorite album is Horror Show, but a close second is the Gettysburg Trilogy. So go figure haha. Yeah by all means keep this updated. I'll be trying to convince the man to leave the house for once until then. Maybe threatening to meet up with strangers will do the trick!
  5. Oh I'll be here plenty I'm sure haha. I have an internet forum addiction, I'm actually a member on about a dozen other websites.
  6. Validated now! Whats up goth folk?

  7. Just waitin around till work, trying to resist buying cigarettes.... I recently decided to quit and just stick to the occasional cigar and vaping. I miss enjoying smoking, it's just become such a chore/expectation. At least with a cigar once every few days I can get the nicotine I need, and appreciate it like the connoisseur I am, instead of as an addict getting a fix.
  8. From moshpitnation Saturday, April 12 · 5:00 pm [DET] Iced Earth, Sabatan, Revamp @ Saint Andrew's Hall Event on Facebook · Venue Website · Venue Map Iced Earth is an American Heavy Metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1985, by guitarist and main songwriter Jon Schaffer and original drummer Greg Seymour. Originally founded under the name "Purgatory", Iced Earth released their debut album in 1990. Since then, the band have released a total of ten studio albums, four EPs, three compilations, three box sets, one live album and one covers album. After releasing two studio albums in 1990 and 1991, respectively, Iced Earth took a three year layoff, from 1992 to 1995,[4] after which the band returned with new lead vocalist Matt Barlow. Iced Earth went on to release four studio albums with Barlow, between 1995 and 2001 respectively; 1995's Burnt Offerings, 1996's The Dark Saga, 1998's Something Wicked This Way Comes and 2001's Horror Show. Anyone else hoping to go? I checked out their new album 'Plagues of Babylon' and I gotta say, I actually really like it. Vocalists come and go, but the sound is forever. They're definitely still Iced Earth. And thank fucking god they're not playing in Grand Rapids again! Goddamn Grand Rapids gets all the good shows And there's no way my ass is driving two hours unless it's one of my top five bands.
  9. Hell yeah for psychadelic stoner doom! If anyone else is a fan, they have a new album dropping pretty soon. Definitely stoked for that one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjLKjVNPn5E Edit: How do I post a vid directly? I tried both embed codes, neither seem to work
  10. I would not mind seeing Nick Cave. Not a huge fan, but definitely respect, especially from a poet's perspective. If anyone's inclined, the band My Ruin does an excellent female cover of 'Do You Love Me'.
  11. How sweet! I'm from various locations haha. My 'hood extends from Romeo to Saint Clair Shores, I hang everywhere in between. Workin part-time as a janitor... which is great, by the way, as I get to jam headphones the whole time. I tell ya, if I could make a permanent living doing it, I would. Goin to school part-time, as much as I can afford, and spending the rest of my free time either with the love of my life or engaging in various pursuits of my weird mind. Jack of all trades are far as hobbies are concerned.. I have a tendency to get excited about things then drop them if I'm not an expert the first day Lately I've gotten pretty into improving my voice so I can finally start up that doom band I've always wanted. I'm not bad, nowhere near good though. Luckily I have seen improvement already since I started, so that's a good sign. Another thing... I talk about music a LOT. So forgive me for that. Just sittin around right now, missing disc golfing. I'm here for friends of course! I love the ones I have, but I figured the goth community could provide some that are more into the shit I like. Thanks again for the welcome! Looking forward to being an active member, especially with the weather as brutal as it's been.
