Upcoming tickets to see Boy Harsher at El Club, and probably going to see Wingtips and Josie Pace Friday (at left unnamed, uh, little ham-town bar).

Listening to Cadaver Kelly's 2022 release recap. Having an All Day while chipotle lime asparagus roasts. Expected I might be more tired after the Siamese/Traitrs show at Small's last night, but it started to early I missed (locals) Siamese (though quite enjoyed their set before Bootblacks months back).

Bummer, man; I didn't know about that strife. I think I know someone who went to the speakeasy... I want to do more Something Cold! This Saturday, right?

Moved to town just before the last administration. Tried to join Facebook groups to find events but got ignored. Google'd.

That date I mentioned went on and on to me about the Labyrinth, and some kind of fetish scene that ran as part of or in parallel to GAF night, but it seems all of this was gone before I moved to town after that terrible orange election in 2016. What was the dance floor like? Are there picture galleries here or somewhere public of the good ol' days, or is this just the kind of thing the old ones talk about in rhetorical back rooms full of clove smoke and spilled snakebite?

So, I'm one of those who sort of finds a feed of new music, latches on, and tries to drink from the firehose. Once upon a time, it was friends in bands I played with. Come college, alt.binaries.mp3.gothic-industrial. Then, some Sirius XMU channels when chillwave was happening. Now, post-punk.com. Went a few times with a date that was into it (tends to be sort of a gating factor for me wanting to club), but that didn't go anywhere (little interest in my Fetlife reindeer games) though I guess she did introduce me to @Scary Guy who is of course much more memorable to me than likewise. I think she may have somehow rigged it to win tickets at a dark 80s night at Small's to Lords of Acid in Flint, which was fucking fabulous. I ended up with someone for a while with no taste for music/appetite for clubbing (but who did play reindeer games with me), so after vaccine/breakup/things reopening, I'm looking for dark things to do with myself too late at night. I've made a friend (at the Detroit Dominants munch at Adam's Apple) who finally drug me to City Club the other night, and Something Cold at UFO, so hoping to get out to Small's again soon.

Same experience trying to leave downtown. Slid around then turned around and headed back to the garage. No Gathering for me... just curling up with some extra special bitter for the evening and hoping my house purchase closes Monday.

Did so want to come but drove out of the Z Garage and started sliding around; too far from downtown on slick roads for me. What's the clubnight situation in town?
