I will not be making it this week but I am planning on making it to the future events, since the new job schedule will allow me to actually attend. I am curious about this Ingress game? I have never heard of it.

It's cool that you are a fan of Lovecraft. I had a friend back in PA who was always trying to teach me about his stories. I had trouble absorbing all of the information who would throw at me but it was always interesting.

Sommer should listen to it. It might be hard to give up though. lol

Welcome to the forum. I am planning on making it to the gatherings here in a few weeks.

I just have a High Point 40 right now. I need to adjust the sights on it. I am hoping to rebuild my collection someday.

I keep trying to show up to the gatherings but it seems as though my coworkers are working against me. We had a fairly slow night last night at work but when it was time to start cleaning up everyone suddenly remembered that they had a ton of prep work that they needed to get done. I got stuck until 12:30 finishing up all their prep stuff and cleaning their stations because they were all moving so slow and complaining that they didn't want to be there so late.

I am sorry I couldn't make it. We had a really busy night at work and I was stuck until after midnight. I am still hoping to make it early enough to get to meet everyone someday.

I am really going to try my best to get out of work as early as possible but I was informed that we already have around 100 reservations for tomorrow night and I am the only dishwasher. They hired someone to help in dish but he can only work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays so I have been getting Mondays and Tuesdays off lately.

This is the view from a restaurant I used to work at back home called the Mount Nittany Inn. The town to the left is Centre Hall PA. That is where I grew up.

I used to do a lot of gaming, table top and computer gaming. I still tried to game when I was married but it was very seldom and had so many conditions attached that it almost wasn't worth it. The funny thing is that my ex took all of my gaming stuff in the divorce even though she hated it. I just haven't been able to get back into it since though. I don't have the funds to buy the stuff or the friends to game night together. I still enjoy talking about gaming but I don't think I will get back into it like I used to be.

I am going to Nevermore Tuesdays tonight in Ferndale. Anyone else going? I am driving from Novi so I can give someone a ride if they need one.

I am glad that I made it before everyone left. It is difficult to have a social life when you work the evening shifts in the service industry. It was nice to meet Troy, Sekhmet, and Scary Guy in person. I am hoping to make it to more gatherings and meet more people. I try to cook decent meals at home on my days off and I normally try to give an open invitation when it is something rather interesting. If anyone is interested in joining some time just let me know. Just please keep in mind that I have a lot of animals such as snakes that some people might be uncomfortable with and I am a smoker so my place isn't really an allergy friendly environment.

Why wasn't I there? I love Karaoke. I do an awesome Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror. lol

A friend of mine used to always say "These things are sent to try us." Things may be bad right now but they will turn around. Try to keep your chin up and your eyes towards the future.
