How the hell did I get grey paint on a spot of wall we painted yellow some five feet AWAY from the grey wall? The closer yellow wall I get, but still?

Sitting after doing touch ups on the grey accent wall for the living room.

Sitting and waiting to have an "argument" on a post I shared on facebook that states: "There are no white people in the bible. Take all the time you need with that" with a (to me) devote Christian. To me, I do my best to point things out that have been: 1. Removed from the Bible 2. Including the re-writing of passages that have been undesirable 3. Countering the arguments being used with other passages in the canon Bible By no means by this (and other unlisted items) do I mean disrespect to the religion -- or any religion -- I am merely pointing out that one shouldn't be using just one verse from a book that has been: 1. Passed down orally before being written 2. Meaning that the stories upon first writing are probably already "wrong" 3. Re-Written from Hebrew into Latin; and thus the translations are lost/wrong. 4. And from Latin into English, and thus 3.a stands as well

I get where she's coming from, but it's like 'I didn't ask for your help. I can do that on my own.' Also, during one of these 'pushing the subject' times (that sticks out) with my dad is that he wanted me and the middle sister to read some sort of Christian spiritual book (I had no interest in reading) and it came to him threatening to leave because we weren't reading it. He didn't, but it was still the feeling that I shouldn't be threatened into reading something I have no interest in reading.
-
Frustrated because, although she means well, the sister's trying to find scholarships for me to apply for. Like, I wanna go back to school, but I wanna do the work in what's all involved in doing that. Let me find the scholarships, and stop pushing me (like our dad did) to do something I'm in no mind to do.

I'm in the same boat as Stu with the whole "I'm white and won't ever really imagine what it's like to be black" aspect. But as one who's "woke", I call that being open minded and know what's right and wrong. As one who's a generation and a half younger than you two, I wasn't around for the Detroit riots, but I was alive back in 92 for the Rodney King riots (granted I was like ... 7/8 at the time being born in November of 86). Having grown up in a white neighborhood (I remember having one black kid in my class in the third grade, never saw him after that year was done). Not to say I've had black classmates in the following years, but that was my hometown's racial make up. I didn't grow up with Black Studies, pretty sure the community college I went for two years didn't have it. You may be black, but you need to know your history. Which will bring up slavery and the civil rights movement, and all that. And how the "White Man" stole your ancestors from Africa and brought them over to the Gulf Islands and America. African tribes sold out other African tribes to the white traders (yeah, I read Roots. Still have the copy), who then packed the holds so tight, a good number got sick/died during the crossing. As a younger member of society, I've benefited from the hard work that those have done before me have done (from woman's suffrage/right to vote, to work rights, and all other things I can't recall). Does that mean I can not go in and fight and lend my support to those that need it? Hell no; because that's who I am. Even if I don't go physically, my support is there regardless. I will snap on those who wanna counter Black Lives Matter with All Lives Matter. No lives matter until we're all on equal standing.

How quickly the summer's gonna past into fall since a new anime's gonna drop this year. A sequel, and a number of the people involved in the original have/had worked on it, including the manga's author. Yashahime

I know. I think it might be attributed to the whole "they're getting attention. I want some, too." and start raising their voices that young kids tend to do. Like, seriously? We've had centuries of death of black people and we as a society finally had enough and rose up a la the French people to bring down the French Monarchy and you unrelated groups wanna get attention? No. Sit down and shut up since you're not helping.

1. To have a protest for "All Lives Matter" would make things worse, not better. 2. I'm not sure if the involved celebrities in the fight over the use of Black vs All grasp what it means or what's going on. 3. I haven't heard about that, so not gonna touch it. 4. Feminist groups have no say whatsoever whether they're being represented or not in the overall unrest over the death of Floyd or racism. Harsh considering my presenting gender, but feminist/feminism has no baring in the current polical/socio unrest.

I get where "All Lives Matter" is coming from, but I kinda have to side with those using "Black Lives Matters". Yes, all lives matter, but not until those lives that are being targeted against are brought up to the same level as the majority (mainly white) peoples. There are still missing Indigenous people missing. Latino people are still seen as those who are mostly illegals who come in and steal jobs from "us (white) Americas". I don't see those who use that stupid argument working 12-14 hours a day out in the fields harvesting crops (example from watching Dirty Jobs where Mike was harvesting hops. And the supervisor he was with was telling him that the guys who work there do 12 hour shifts with a half hour lunch break). I'm not claiming no one's life is worth less than another's; the "All Lives Matter" I wanna say, came from whatever side/group that wanted to counter the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Until we all can sit down and talk with each other, nothing is going to happen. And if it takes peaceful protesting to get to that point, so be it. My life doesn't matter more than yours, Tron or your families. Or anyone else that I've met. I will still work/support/be the ally in whatever happens.

Half looked for jobs until whenever I get the call back to Metro.

Still debating on if i wanna make that amazon order.

I know that, Tron. In the spirit (or the prompting your post made to me) of coming together (and starting the conversation) I wanna share this with everyone (with some back story). BS: For the past couple years, I've participated in what's called GISH (GISHWES = Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Ever Saw). It's a week long creative, out of the box thinking event where you and up to 14 team mates do items on a list (I have this past weekend's mini Hunt list saved just to give an idea of what's on the 200 plus item main Hunt list). The winning team (which is announced months later cuz, the main Hunt is MASSIVE) goes on a ... 3? day trip (min of a 3 day trip) to the country money raised for. Each year, you sign up and pay what you can (does have a min amount) and that money goes toward something. Last year it was for those effected by/helping to remove land mines from the Vietnam war in Laos (the trip was to Laos). A couple months ago, the people that run Random Acts (a non profit) came up with the idea of a mini Hunt (a one day, 24/25 hour event) with the same thing as above. Obviously there wasn't a trip for that mini hunt or the one from this past weekend (think the winning team gets home made jam made by Misha/ the Collins family). The money raised from both hunts went to giving kids effected by covid meals. 515,000 meals provided from this past weekend's mini Hunt alone. Story: Due to the civil unrest from Floyd's murder (cuz that's what it was), those overseeing the mini-Hunt this past weekend weren't sure if it should be cancelled (it wasn't). But the list items had changed to reflect what's going on. One of the items was a webinar (two webinar's via zoom) with Legos that included Misha's two children (West and Masion) and the Ackles' children (JJ most likely and maybe Arrow and Zeppelin). Another zoom event was to be a game event with some of the guest stars (Felicia Day (Charlie), Osric Chau (Kevin) and one other); both those were postponed/cancelled. But one webinar that I watched (and helped for the hunt item) was this one: A Conversation on Racial Inequality and Injustice. Sorry for the long post.

I think many people have that.

lol I hope not as embarrassing as you think. I'm prolly in the same boat as the "Helper" with -- in this case -- medical issues. Consider it as Lesson Learned.
-
Yeah, that's a bit concerning. Something that bad shouldn't get to that point; but hey shrugs Lesson learned (I hope) and things have been fixed.

That's good.

What Tron said. If you can get outta the house (or if you feel like you can leave them alone for a short time), take a walk. Cuz from what it sounds like, you could be having a panic/anxiety attack. **Not an expert, just stating what the symptoms sound like it could be**
-
Maybe low iron? idk (not medically trained lol) That's a thought.
-
I get both sides (you as a parent and her as wanting to show support); and even I wanna do something in person. Even if you wanna suggest taking cold drinks to those protesting in place. I can't really tell you how to handle it; just give suggestions that I hope help.
-
Low blood? as in low blood sugar? Either way, it's good that 1. you knew the symptoms and took it of it (albet when it was getting worse) 2. that you're better now.

Metaphyscial? Mental? Emotional? Could be effected by what's going on the past few days.
