I went to a conference yesterday in East Lansing. I was walking past a group of people in the hallway. I was dressed darkly but professionally with a black suit coat and a hat (I'm bald). My sunglasses were still on because I hadn't had a chance to change them yet. As I walked past that group, one of the people looked at me and said, "What the heck?"
That was awesome!
Right now, I'm listening to Sisters of Mercy while typing on this forum, trying to kill the last 5 minutes of the day in my office. It was a pretty long day, but I got some stuff done.
I had arm surgery back on June 24th to reattach my right bicep tendon to my arm. I was in a cast for a couple weeks followed by physical therapy. My arm's motion is 100% back but I can't flex a muscle.
In addition, my hands hurt, especially the left one where I jacked up my thumb on the same trip where my right bicep ripped.
Oh, and I am depressed too. I restart mental therapy tomorrow.
I was in Canada last week. I had two problems causing a lot of pain. First, my right bicep tendon tore off and I'm getting an MRI tomorrow. Second, was driving a 4x4 side by side vehicle and it slipped down a rut and the tire hit a tree. The vehicle bounced backward and bent my left thumb backward.
I am seeing the surgeon again on the 18th.
I am a local government professional. My office is attached to the township's police station. We have gym equipment in the basement and I've started using it. A few times this week, I've bench pressed, squated, and curled for part of my lunch hour.
I am hosting a Comprehensive Plan open house at 1:00 and 6:00 before driving up north tonight. I am leaving with my Dad to go to Canada tomorrow for over a week to kill fish and brain cells!
My uncle has been staying with my mom and dad. He has issues and they are taking care of him. A couple weeks ago, they came and visited us at our home. Out of the blue, in the middle of the conversation and after a couple beers, he was looking around the living room and said, "You guys are kind of morbid."
I just smiled and said, "Yeah."
