  3. LOL! Maybe cyberpunk redneck might have been a better terminology. Hauling scrap metal in an old banged up pickup truck with hillbillies and starting tire fires while listening to industrial idm electronica just seems like an odd blend of things to be going on. I guess we are all weird in our own unique ways.
  4. Cyberpunk and white trash... does that make me cybertrash? ... rhetorical question.
  5. It is miserable 100 degree hot out and more than half the area has no electric. The gas stations that are still open look like end of the world mass hysteria, passed an Exxon yesterday that had over 50 cars lined up out into the street.
  6. Holy crap! My nephew and his wife are having a baby right this minute. I have two great nephews and a great niece now.
  7. Standing on top of a fencepost in a field to have enough wireless data signal to post on forum from cellphone.
  8. Took with cellphone on the drive home last night
  9. I'm also thinking that in the last two years I've become equal parts hybrid of cyberpunk and hillbilly, if such a thing exists. Does that make me a cyberbilly?
  10. Yup, twelve years... although I attribute much of that to the fact that I'm living in or around the Appalachian mountains. I have run into a few people that listened to "aggrotech" type music but none of the ever knew what Skinny Puppy was for instance, and at one point I had an employee that listened to KMFDM. And thus I came back here to this forum, I figured it's very unlikely I every meet someone with similar interests to my own, but at least I could go somewhere that I can talk to like minded people... even though I don't live anywhere near Detroit nowadays.
  11. It doesn't help me that I am prone to going awol from media and communication for lengthly periods of time (like disappearing from this site for over a year) When I finally come to I'm oblivious to the fast changes that occurred in the world and I grapple around to touch base with something that is familiar to meInformation technology is making the world a much faster changing place, especially with music. I swear, there are new sub genres of everything popping up all the time.
  12. It's been over 12 years now since I last met someone who knew what real industrial music was, or at least quasi-industrial music. I feel I've become a stranger in a strange land anymore.
  13. Oh, how I've missed this place. I'm surprised that my profile still existed
  14. Admittedly my own musical interests have shifted over the last few years towards more darkly themed IDM, but I still appreciate my roots in older Industrial music and continue to listen to quite a bit of it. The thing that puzzles me though, is that I just don't find any people out there that listen to Industrial like I had back in the day (aside from occasionally talking to someone on the internet who generally lives very far away) I swear for years now I have not met another person face to face that listens to the same music or even knows what I'm talking about. When people ask me what genres of music I listen to nowadays I am met only with confusion. I have searched and searched, wandered the land, and poured over countless social networking sites... and I'm almost convinced that there must not be anyone within a hundred miles in all directions from where I am standing that listen to similar music as I do. It's a real downer... Where did all the Industrial music fans go?
  15. Very, very, very small town. Actually not a town, just a gravel road with a few houses and a small town 10 miles away. I clearly do not belong here.
  16. Yeah, I've been gone from thim sight for a very long time, and my musical influence has shifted a bit. Good to be back somewhere where the people are intelligent and interesting though. The rest of the world is so so boring and closed minded.
  17. For anybody with musical interests in dark ambient electronic, cinematic, IDM, Access To Arasaka from record label Tympanik Audio is an excellent listening experience especially for headphones. The track "First Kill" from ATA's first album on Tympanik is a great listen even for those who are not traditional IDM listeners and is definitely worth a try, always the first Access To Arasaka track i introduce people to. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BelIT39zpcY#/watch?v=BelIT39zpcY
  18. I'm thinking that I hate living in Ohio, I should not have moved away from Michigan.
  19. I think moving from michigan into the appalachian mountains was a stupid idea.
  20. holy crap i'm back on the internet... and now i'm gone.
  21. Pain meds are not a good habit to start, and a worse one to end. I have an extra lumbar vertabre in my spine so thats how i started, and i am still trying to quit... perscribed to suboxone now, but still a very painful process.
  22. Squarepusher - i wish you could talk i would post the video because i rather like it... however i can't do that from my phone. stupid phone.
  23. feel like medication is not heavy enough... heavier units required.
  24. I think my phone and internet will be shut off tomorrow.
