  1. thanks prick, i hope this show goes well enough that we have future gigs!
  2. ah, thanks for pointing that out troy, i didn't realize i hadn't actually mentioned that!
  3. i know that there aren't many people on this side of the state, and it's somewhat short notice, but I'm having my second live gig ever, playing with the Powell Trio this coming Saturday. If you're around & have some free time, stop by & check us out!
  4. i'm sad that i'm relatively close, but am unlikely to make a sunday night, due to working monday morning. that being said, i still sucked about getting out to the friday thing, so i guess i'm not terribly important in the grand scheme of things...
  5. might be true... the more people hang out, the more there is to talk about. however, i'm personally of the opinion that the recent exodus is primarily due to people socializing on facebook, rather than here. it's very discouraging, but there's really nothing to be done about that. i wish people felt more of a sense of ownership of/responsibility for this place, remembered all of the good friends they made here & would stay active *here* in order for others to be able to do the same...

  7. thank you! the meter seems to read better in german, and it seems to make more sense to me this way.
  8. i take it to mean that there is no *one* perfect person for you, and everyone is the same in that we all have our issues. therefore there is ample opportunity to meet someone who is compatible. *shrugs*
  9. was this originally in english? if not, i'd dig seeing the original!
  10. really sorry to hear that - i wish venues would give people a month or two to get things off the ground, but it doesn't happen very often. sucks, bad. just goes to prove even though people want more options, they just aren't willing to put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. *sigh* very disappointed, to say the least.
