really sorry to hear that - i wish venues would give people a month or two to get things off the ground, but it doesn't happen very often. sucks, bad. just goes to prove even though people want more options, they just aren't willing to put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. *sigh* very disappointed, to say the least.

heh, just lamenting the fact that i won't be able to make it up there for a while...

from what's been posted at my work, fica was lowered to 4.2% a while back, and now that the tax breaks are set to expire, it's going back to 6.2%. that's what they're telling us at work anyway...

out of curiosity, is there a point you're trying to make with all this stuff you're posting, or are you just venting, or ??. if there's a theme, maybe we can make this (the videos, etc) it's own topic?
