  1. So today, my last grandparent died of lymphoma at 87, in his sleep. Despite his few faults he was for the most part a great man and the world is lesser without him. Today marks the first time in my life without any living grandparents. I fucking hate change, and death. It's comforting to know when we go we stop existing but it's also still frightening as well. Despite the pain I feel now I like existing. Maybe when (if) I get to his age I'll have endured enough of it to finally be ready as well. Maybe when (if) I make it to that age assisted suicide laws will be sane to where he could have just checked out when he wanted to. Maybe when (if) I make it to that age we'll have the singularity in place; However that scares me too as I'll have to share eternity with all you assholes I don't know what else to say so I guess I'll end this here.
  2. This past week has been very sad in the music world first with Lemmy from Motorheads passing shortly after his birthday and a cancer diagnosis and then David Bowie who had been battling cancer. I am sitting here crying despite not ever knowing or meeting them because these legends impacted my life. I grew up with them and they are both part of one of the best generations of music the world has ever seen. They can never be replaced especially by todays craptastic shallow pop and Kunstprodukts. Lemmy was a rockstar but it is known how he was all about his fans and treated everyone respectfully. They just do not make talent like that. Now we got Bieber and Kanye and other shit acting like fame puts them above all. But you Lemmy you were not some perfect pretty boy pleasing the labels but rocking out and had you still been alive even with cancer I believe you still would have rocked at as many gigs as you could stand up to do. That was just how you were and it was your passion. Your quick passing is how you would have wanted. Not suffering and sick. Born to live live to win 1945-2016. David Bowie my beloved Ziggy star dust and Jareth the Goblin King that had me thinking why the hell did Sarah not take him up on his offer? I would have danced in that masquerade with him forever! I grew up listening to you on the radio and my dad played your vinyls. I was so fortunate to have had parents with such a great taste in music. I think that was a big influence in my growing up having parents so appreciative of music and many genres. Some I didn't like but some I grew to love or always enjoyed. My dad played your songs on his guitar and sang your songs. Being an 80s baby I seen and heard you so much on TV and the radio quite often. My heart breaks today and I wish you had not had to suffer battling cancer. Its just another reason we must find cures and ways to treat it. you were too young to go. Same age in fact as my gran that passed 7 years ago and her death anniversary is 9th January. January seems to be a sad month. Feel free to share in the celebration of our legends and share your memories and favorite songs and moments. Heres to you Lemmy and David! Hope you both are rocking out wherever you may be! I will miss you both but always be grateful for the art and music which helped me be who I am.
