I feel like police are not taught about dealing with people who have disabilities. In fact in Monroe county we had to start a program where the jail is staffed by County Mental health workers. Thankfully there are some COs who ask for training about dealing with different types of issues people with disabilities deal with. I know this is a little different I mean I'm sure he wasn't the first deaf person ever to have a police encounter. SMH😢
