I have (heard of Loma Linda)

thats where I had my kidney transplant surgery - at Loma Linda University Medical Center. (909 Meg)

and your right - they dont eat meat< I dont know why, I just remember that the meat was meatless (soy)

I beleive that one of their tenants is strict observance of the sabbath.....is that correct?

Not to try to press this faith on to any of you, but has anyone ever heard of the Seventh Day Adventist church, was raised or ever have been affiliated with it, or know anyone of that belief?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Wasn't raised in that faith but have attended SDA churches, went to an SDA college for a short time.

Actually though, not all SDAs are vegetarian. Some are and some are not. One of the articles of faith is that the body is a temple and should be kept in the best condition possible, therefore some choose to be vege.

Funny thing though, some of my vegetarian SDA friends were extremely obese and went on and on how bad meat was for you while never exercising or taking care of themselves in other ways. :blink

Yes to the strict sabbath observance. I miss that a bit actually since I drifted away. It was a very peaceful relaxing day of rest, music and contemplation.

Steven, I didn't know that you had a kidney transplant. Did I miss this somewhere along the line?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
