What good stores

Actually, there is a store called "Rainbow" in Wayne that has some surprisingly interesting stuff. I was shocked. I saw a dress that Aralis has there and the cutest skull & crossbones shrug and excellent pants and fitted tshirts.... but I don't think they do guy stuff. Sorry.

Billy, if you have the patience to dig through lots of crap, I'd tell you to try salvation army. Then you can take the $3 jeans you buy there and grab some fabric spray paint from Jo-ann's (fabric/craft store) and add some creative flair. As if that wasn't enough take a cheese grater (the side with the little holes for parmesan and hard cheeses) and add character to the pockets/knee areas/thigh areas. Then you can find random band shirts at salvation army or even some really awesome shirts from time to time to add to your goth/punk/etc. clothing collection. I can get multiple outfits in one trip under $20.

OMG........

Thrift stores are the BEST! Even when Wayne was making a lot of money, I still shopped in thrift stores. I probably always will. There's a Goodwill Superstore two minutes from my salon, and I finally went in for the first time last week. It's got to be the best one that I've ever shopped! There's another thrift store in town called "Village Thrift." Love that one as well.

When I come back, I want to hit the thrift stores. I had better bring an extra suitcase....

I'm assuming you're looking for goth/clubwear type stuff... I get most of my clothes on eBay or elsewhere online. You can usually find stuff like Dragonfly shirts for about half what you'd pay in a store. If you're looking for OOAK stuff, a lot of the DIY grrls on 'Bay make way cool gear... mostly for women but many of them do custom work for pretty reasonable prices (Don't do business with dropdeaddiy, tho- I sent her a t-shirt and $$ & she not only never sent it but stopped answering my emails).

If price is not an issue for you, there are scads of online businesses with truly inspiring goth/subculture gear. Some of them are quite pricey but worth it in terms of quaity & unique-ness.

Finally, the Hot Topic website has a much better selection than you find in the mall stores- better quality stuff, more sizes, & you don't have to look at all the annoying Care Bears & Tinkerbell crap :wink
