Two cool shows coming to Detroit

Here are the rumors I've heard with no specific dates mentioned yet:

Cesium_137 coming to the Lab in August. They are melodic futurepop, cheerier than VNV Nation but in the same mold. www.myspace.com/cesium137

The other is De/Vision and Mesh coming together to Alvins in September. For fans of synthpop - like me - this is a can't miss. Those are two of the best underground synthpop bands around these days.

I'll try to be at both. Cesium_137 is awesome. That last CD of theirs is in my players at least once a week.

Heh, turns out I will be at that show, as one of the opening acts for C137. :)

Also the show has been moved to Small's in Hamtramck, and a definitive date of August 17 has been given.

I'll be there for sure, though Smalls is.....well....too small!

How much is it going to cost?

What time do you go on?

I also like De/Vision. Do you know where I can buy tickets on-line?

No official date yet but it will not be Mesh with De/Vision.....Iris will open for De/Vision instead, which is fine with me, I like Iris quite a bit too.

This is supposed to be in the Fall sometime.

Either way, I'm there. I'll have to look into Cesium 137. I don't really know too much about them.

Hipster check out www.myspace.com/cesium137

they are a synthpop band that uses trance music as their background, sort of like Depeche Mode on speed.

Pulse State is pretty damn good too. www.myspace.com/pulsestate

I like that one that goes "I never knew my place"

Cesium 137 --- Can they keep time then?

*laughs hysterically until she realizes that nobody else is*

Pulse State, you should put out an official CD soon and sell it at the show.  Isn't it time you put out a full length?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeah, but there's just no way I could have it ready in time.

When something becomes available I will let everyone know. I know some of you on here have been waiting for a very long time for me to put out a full album, but these things take time, especially considering that I don't do music 24/7... though I would really like to :)...
