Fierce Critter
Have you ever had an experience that would have been totally different with 5 minutes difference? For instance, have you suddenly REALLY needed a Slurpee and stopped - and then once you're back on the road you pass a horrible accident that you yourself might have been involved in if you hadn't needed that Slurpee fix? I had one today. I pick up used stuff to sell on eBay, right? One of my better sellers is Teddy Ruxpin stuff. Around the same time TR came out, they came out with a Mickey Mouse/Goofy set that works similar to TR & Grubby, his pal. Hook them together and they both talk & interact to tapes. I walk into the Royal Oak Salvation Army today, and just as I'm entering the store, a woman is walking up to the cash register with both the Mickey and Goofy - in mint condition in the box. Initially, I thought that was a "loss" of a couple hundred dollars, so I've been down about it all day, wishing I'd either gotten there 5 minutes earlier so I could have bought them to sell, or 5 minutes later so I wouldn't have known what I missed out on. Luckily, I just checked eBay and it turns out they don't go for as much as I'd thought. I still lost out on a major sale, but not the hundreds I'd thought. And I had the Slurpee/accident scenerio happen, but it was actually a sudden need/want to visit my aunt's grave at the cemetery.

Fierce Critter
Something specific and striking. All sorts of things would and could be "different" if you are or are not somewhere at a given time. But sometimes, there's that realization of, "wow - 5 minutes difference and I'd be rich/dead/uninjured/etc.

The Kanuck
I had one of those experiences that greatly changed my life as I know it. It was back at the end of Feb/ Beginning of March, when I was bored but I made the mistake of taking a shower too soon and missing a phone call, which would have brought me to a party and so on.. but because I missed it, I went onto Vampirefreaks.com and searched up some new "cults." Thanks to this cult searching I found who is now today my present girlfriend and thanks to meeting her, I met all these new people, which have also influenced my life grealty. If I waited 5 more minutes, my life would have been much different, who knows. Could be better, could be alot worse but I know it would have been majorly different. Der Nister
That happened to a friend and myself. While walking to a mutual friends house we decided to take a different route. We were only at our friends for maybe 2 minutes and then left. We walked back using the usual streets that we used only to discover a serious, 3 car accident had just taken place. We both knew that our choice to take a different route that night saved us from harm. True story.
