i need to find a doctor

as much as i love children and have that maternal longing for my own baby... i'm 19 and dirt poor and really shouldnt be having one right now.

birthcontrol would really rock... then again so would finding a gynecologist.

i went to a gyno like over a year ago back in new baltimore where i grew up but i really didnt like her that much and thats a bit of a ways for me now. i tried online yellowpages and a bunch of different "find a doctor" sites and stuff but all i kept getting was

1-- not accepting new patients

or

2-- men whose first language is OBVIOUSLY not english (i have neither a problem with male gynocologists nor foreigners but if i'm going to have a guy looking at my crotch i'd like to be able to descipher what he's saying)

so if anyone knows of any good gynos somewhere within reasonable distance (20 minutes ish) of downtown detroit i'd really appreciate a name and a phone number

list of Planned Parenthoods in MI =) Here.

The one here in A2 is really great. I dont know about the one in Detroit but its worth checking out to get on Birthcontrol, and not to mention it works with you on a sliding scale .. which goes really great with the dirt poor thing =)

see i'm poor but i have good insurance (not sure how that works out) so planned parenthood and free clinics and stuff wont help me

I believe they take all different kinds of insurance. You should call and ask if they take yours =) It couldnt hurt =)
