ManicQueen
I don't know where to go. I want the ceremony and reception to be at one place so there isn't any driving from place to place.. I'm trying to keep this simple. I kinda want it to be indoors but outdoors is fine as well. No church's. No parks with duck poop everywhere. Maybe a hotel? Do everything there. I don't know. Any idea's?
jadnifer
i think that what exactly you are looking for would be best in a hotel because they are able to accomodate both. they may also give you discounts for wedding members for room rates if they are too drunk to go home. I would check into it.

Scary Guy
You could have both at a club, rent it out early or on a day it isn't open and have the reception there, bring in your own food, etc... One member on here asked me to DJ their wedding and said they wanted it on a Thursday. I told them I was DJ'ing that night but I could probably get it off if I needed to. Then I suggested that they have it at I-Rock before Vortex and continue the party into it and they quite liked it. Even though I hate the club you could check into renting out City Club on a Sunday. Though you probably wouldn't want to spend that much. Like I said if you do it on a day that it's open it won't be all that much more I don't think. Fierce Critter
I volunteered at the Butterfly/Hummingbird garden when it first opened. Humidity & heat are definitely a factor. Funny. I never got any butterfly poo on me, though... Hummingbird, maybe... Elizabeth Park in Trenton is a VERY popular place for weddings, at least pictures. They have this sort of river that flows through and around it, and they have built bridges over them that people just love to get pictures taken on. I see wedding parties, prom couples, homecoming queens, all sorts of occasions getting photographed there. I believe they have a big, open hall type structure that can be rented, too. Nice location, on the riverside, with the view of the river and all.
Fierce Critter
Description of Elizabeth Park "A Victorian shelter building and wedding gazebo are some of the special features located at this park." I totally forgot about the gazebo. I called, just to find out more info about this. The Victorian shelter building is under construction until next year. So if you wanted to do something there, you could get married at the gazebo, but if you wanted covered shelter for a reception, looks like you'd have to rent a tent. Fierce Critter
Wow. The following picture was taken at Elizabeth Park's wedding gazebo: But you've got to check out the photographer's website. He's got tons of pictures taken at all sorts of locations all over Metro Detroit. Some beautiful locations. Maybe one of those would work for you. Fabulous wedding sites in picture
ManicQueen
Thanks so much Critter. I love that photo! I think I'm gonna pass on the Butterfly thing at the zoo because of the heat factor, thanks anyway Meg it was a great idea! Scary Guy, would you be available Sept. 30th to DJ? Would you be interested? I would even pay you! :laughing Does anyone know of any really nice halls? I think I want to get married and have the reception there. I want everything done at one place so there's not alot of driving around, ya know?
