Not that there is anything wrong with being gay, but Daevion, the person making the accusation here, wears a kilt.  His last name is Cornholio.

Need I say more?

:ohmy::tongue::happy:

For the record I never wore a kilt to city....only shiny black vinyl manskirts....tho I do have an actual scottish kilt. As stated in a previous thread many would agree that a kilt is no where near as gay as blue tights and red tighties.....of course no one in they're right mind would call superman gay to his face for fear of being superman handled.

deja vu! I swear I recall reading a thread on this before! :laughing

oh and Roger Ebert gave it a bad review and I usually agree with him but this time he missed the mark.

You can tell he doesn't understand the Superman mythology in his review. He said Spacey doesn't have fun with Lex Luthor like Gene Hackman did but in reality hackman was nothing like how Lex was supposed to be. Lex is not a bumbling idiot. Lex Luthor is the smarted man on earth and the Smallville Lex Luthor plays it almost flawlessly.

I read his review too... he loves comic book movies usually.... I think one of the problems that he had was he kept comparing it to the old ones with Reeves... which I think is unfair to do...

I keep seeing mix reviews. Does it suck or is it good?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I am a huge superman fan. I have over 300 Superman comics. I loved the first 2 Superman movies (hated 3 and 4). I know all the Superman trivia. I've been geeked about this movie for the last 10 years and have watched Nicholas Cage, Tim Burton, Kevin Smith and Brendon Fraser all get axed from the movie.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty mediocre. There is a sense of sadness that they convey well, you can tell Kal-El is pretty lonely here on earth and pines for Lois Lane. There are a couple decent action scenes. Spacey does an ok job with lex Luthor. Marlon Brando makes a cameo from the dead, which was cool.

But other than that, it was a snoozer in my opinion. Though others did like it, so don't go soley on my review.

I won't get too much into why I didn't like it because I don't want to include too many spoilers but I'll say this: They could have done much more with Lex Luthor and let Spacey REALLY get into it. I thought Kate Bosworth was horrible as Lois Lane.

I don't blame director Bryan Singer, I think he did as much as he could with the script. The box office numbers have not been good and it has been a disappointment, racking up less than $100 million so far and it is the most expensive movie ever made at over $300 million. This does not bode well for a sequel, but if there is one, I hope it is the "Superman is Dead" story that Kevin Smith wanted to use but was rejected by the Warner studios.
