Read back. Nowhere did I say that's what I want to hear. I only said that's what I can remember being played back in the early 90's at CC.

What I'd like to hear isn't at issue. The DJ's don't exist to make me happy. I agree with every one of you who has said what you need to do is keep the patrons happy as a whole, that's your job. I actually sympathize that that sometimes means ya'll don't get the chance to play as much new or innovative stuff that you'd like.

Anyway, thanks for piping in there, Scary Guy, but I'm actually in Wyandotte. And though I've heard good things about Luna, it is a bit of a drive when City Club is about 15 minutes from me.

And SG is also right in that I've built something of a "relationship" with CC. It's very much home for me.

And another reason I don't go to other clubs is because I don't go to clubs without my husband, and he works M-F. He can't go out to weekday goth "nights", so I don't go places like Necto, either.

That said, I usually go on Saturdays, pretty religiously. So even if I don't like what's played on these new Friday nights, it's not going to affect me. But I'd still like to see a potential playlist, so I can see if, in fact, I might not want to SWITCH to Fridays, even once in a while or do a double-CC weekend, going both nights. I don't like hardcore, true industrial, true, but I'm always open to hearing something I might end up liking, even if it's one song out of 20.

The only thing that would improve that for me is if you add The Hellbenders, non-goth as they might be.

Due to my work schedule, I haven't been able to get out on a Saturday night in months. Friday nights however are usually open. Hopefully with the new format I can start seeing more of the familiar faces from Saturdays that I've grown to love on a Friday instead (or as well).

This really isn't going to happen unfortunatly. Some of those tracks will get the occasional play time but all in all that genre in the main section of Industrial music is dead. Closest I've seen to that music is the stuff the guys over at Vortex @ irock are playing.

That stuff just isn't going to get played at the bigger clubs like City Club and Necto anymore honestly.

This is EXACTLY my point and what I am specifically aiming to change. The music wasn't the problem it was the lack of people.

This isn't so much a FORMAT change as just a new night with new people with a new DJ in the booth along side the legendary Jon Noble.

Yeah I can do pretty much all of that. Although that is more goth/death rock than industrial I can totally mix it up.

Bradd, again I hope Fridays go well for you. Just don't overdo the EBM/synthpop since that should be a Saturday CC thing. Not that I ever go but I liked that Fridays were more geared towards industrial.

The last few Fridays I've gone I just can't stop dancing 'cuz the music is awesome. The last Saturday I went to I couldn't start dancing 'cuz the music blew.

hey sisters of mercy - this corrosion got a spin today,,,god thats just a fun song to dance to...and it looked like those who where dancing, where enjoying it greatly. i think iv heard that song played like 5 times total since i started going last year..but i dont blame that it isnt played much as it is a long ass song for a club
