Ginevra
I was able to attend Nvayne/Laura's visitation in Piqua and, with Daniel's permission, I had decided to keep a brief journal for my thoughts and observations so that I could share them with those who were unable to attend. The shortness of the rest of the post should by no means diminish the gathering of people; if anything, there was just too much to write down and I'm not a writer to begin with. But I digress . . . . . There are many people present. An undertone of quietness pervades but quiet laughter is heard as happy memories are exchanged. Laura lies peacfully, her silken black hair lying against her smooth skin. Daniel returns to her side often. Laura's mother, Daniel's grandmother and mother have all come up to us, introduced themselves voluntarily and have been quite gracious. Daniel brought examples of Laura's artwork and his favourite photos of her. There were photos present of her from various stages in her life. Soft music played through the large room and, at one point, a Cult song was played. I overheard a conversation Laura's mother was having with several people about Laura playing Everquest. Several of her Everquest friends that reside in Arizona got together and sent a beautiful grouping of flowers. Everyone was touched that people who Laura only knew online could care enough to make such a gesture. I'm sorry there's not more; these were the more salient moments that I personally observed. Daniel, your family and Laura's as well, for what it's worth, have my sympathy.
