Places you've worked at that pay lousy

Recommended Posts

:devil Here is the list:

1.They use a pair of vice grips to replace a machine handle when it breaks.

2.3 or four machines that just sit there for years and never get fixed.

3.having someone that does'nt normaly do cleanup work, and they get stuck doing it all the time cause they will not bother hiring a janator to do the work.

4.The foreman is constantly over your shoulder, even though you are doing the job right in the first place.

5.Almost everyone drinks on the job.

6. No matter how much you know, they will not pay you worth a shit.

7.You basically have to fight to get a 10 cent pay increase.

8.Other worker's do not turn off their machines at breaks and lunchtimes.

9.Half of the bathroom fixtures are broken, graffiti all aver the walls, saying how much this place sucks.

10.Last but not least,if the foreman does'nt like you,no matter how good of a worker you are,be prepared to get fired. And no one is happy.

Anyone here ever been in these kinds of situations before?

I worked at a major restaurant chain but this certain boss was in trouble for not keeping costs down. Her solution was not to repremand her employees for taking food out of the freezer to eat themselves, she just started making us use all the food that was starting to go bad. I bet we gave at least a few peeps food poisioning.

I have to let a union fight to get me a 2.5% raise and them they take 2% of my pay.

Before the union they just gave us 3.5 to 6 depending on the cost of living hikes.

Go USWA.

Their motto:

Turing good shops into shit holes so we can claim we are working for you.

I guess I'm saying any union shop cost the company so much money keeping shity workers around that they don't want to reward any one and ends up making it a lousy place to work.
