phee
Okay then, if it's good enough for HeadWreck it's good enough for Brenda, I say. Although, Phee, don't forget to lock up your sheep. There's a lot of things you can trust Brenda with but sheep is not one, unfortuantely for those of us who are just trying to make an honest living as heard farmers. That would get noisey
Paper Hearts
Speaking of noisy...and this is a little off the subject, but fuck you all, it's my thread, I had a new neighbor move in and he listens to Will Smith like constantly and like so fucking loud. I am not a tattle tail, I do not tell on people but I think this is just a bit over board. I like music, I have no problems with music at high volume but I think I want to call the cops and tell them that this bastard is listening to the fucking Fresh Prince. I don't think they'd do anything if I just said loud music but if I say Fresh Prince I'm sure they'll be like 'We'll be right over'. And I bet you they'd embarrass his dumb ass, too. Isn't there something like a Jazzy Jeff ordinance? I'm almost positive. Loser.

Paper Hearts
And you know what? I have a Barry Manilowe album! It was a gift (I presume a gag gift). But it's actaully really become handy, as you point out. No living being could withstand that.
Head Wreck
heck no, barry manilowe was created during the fall to drive the renegade angels back into purgetyory and stands guard on the gate ever since inside purgetory is actually quite nice, its to make up for barrys singing as you pass the gates. no sin is worth that punishment... aside from elbows on table and speaking with your mouth full
Paper Hearts
Will Smith is pretty wretched though. It's like what the fuck...you've an entire music store to shop around in, you have the internet, all kinds of resources but this guy only knows well enough to buy Fresh Prince? And then the nerve to play it as if he were proud of his tastes? This country has gone to hell.

Paper Hearts
Well, I didn't call the cops on him and I don't know what I was thinking, but I couldn't put on the Barry Manilowe album, either. I wish I could listen to the Fresh Prince all the time. Then I'd be cool. DORK.

Paper Hearts
Ha! My friend was telling me when he lived in Sidney, Barbara Striesand came to town for a show shortly after the famous South Park episode with her likeness in it, and he said that someone had spray painted one of the billboards on the main road into city centre with 'God damn your black heart Barbara Streisand', which cracks me up every time I think of it. I was surprised to find a lot of the kids I met in London were into Barbara Streisand...and I mean really into her, the way American kids are into Led Zepplin. And speaking of 'Zepplin, what has happened to the British rock fans over there? If you find rock at all, it seems to be Motown. I met people from Manchester who didn't even know of the Smiths. Meanwhile the British indie seen (especially London) is churning out great bands and kicking our scene's proverbial butt like it's 1962 again. Head Wreck
if you men indie as mass comercialised depressing i so want to be coldplay crap. well yes indie scene is progressing... progressing into having its bottom 4 ribs removed so it can give itself rimjobs as well as blowjobs. i'm not a morisy fan at all, but kristeen young is going to be the next big thing over here. moressy took her on tour over here and since i have been unable to get the last two albums i need to put my back catalogue up to date (been a fan of her for years). and you know what. good thats propper indie. and as said before. manchester can now be burnt from the face of the earth now i no longer have relatives there (or at least relatives i know about) it gave us a lot of shit music and was responsible for the atrocity of "oasis" (just uttering its name makes coldplay look like an allright band i would only beat to death with an inflatable crocodile once)
Paper Hearts
Manchester had some terrible bands and it had some great bands but I think the main thing about Manchester to take note of on this account is just the sheer amount of rock it's produced for a town...of what, 700,000 people? Big, big bands, too, some terrible, some not. Manchester's deffinately made it's mark in rock. I'm just saying it was curious to me that someone from Manchester would not have heard of the Smiths. It just seemed to me that for as musical a people as British people are, that they really don't have enough confidence in their own rock and roll. Yet, England has been grinding out some killer rock lately. I'm sort of inclined to believe that British people don't consider rock as much a part of their identity as we do. Paper Hearts
Yes, I thought about checking myself into somewhere when I first read the news of Ms Hilton's new career and I've sort of lost all interest in everything ever since, I'm just not the same. I don't want to live in a world where Paris Hilton is a musician.
