Gothmama25
I cant believe they made a movie from the WTC incident. I wanna see it.
kellygrrrrrl
I saw the preview for it. I had to leave the room. Still to this day whenever I se any kind of that footage... It takes me back to that day I cannot contain myself. I get too upset. I probably won't be able to see it because I would be a sobbing, annoying, blubbering distraction. I'll have to wait and see it in private. =(
saechalyn
I lived in New York City then and was in Rockefeller Center when the planes hit. I don't need to see a movie about it.

BrassFusion
I was surprised when they made that Flight 93 crap. That they're continuing to capitalize on it when it was only 5 years ago is pretty tasteless. Lemme guess... it's coming out September 11th? Paper Hearts
Sounds like another stupid Hollywood cop movie or something....with lots of things blowing up, big special effects...and playing off the fears of a society of idiots.

The_Dark
I'm going to have to watch it at home. It took a week to pry me away from the television after it happened.... I didn;t sleep at all for the first 4 days... i still cry when I see pics of the event.... but actually.. yeah... I really do think people need to be reminded of what happened and what people went through and how.. for that day... we all stood together. Onyx
I actually still find it so unreal that it happened. I was taking a break from work and happened to be watching Katie Couric when the first plane hit. I kept thinking the pilot must have had a sudden heart attack or something. I guess I was so naive I never thought I'd live to see the day we were attacked on our own soil. Typical sheltered American I suppose. I wouldn't mind watching a movie about it as long as it was a documentary style movie and had real information (perhaps true stories from witnesses) rather than Hollywood's usual style. The_Dark
from what I ahve read it followed two Port authority workers that went in to try to help that ended up being caught in the rubble when they came down.. it also tells the story of the man who found them... a retired marine who saw it on tv and went to help. Scary Guy
Quote function still not working. BrassFusion and Paper Hearts said it best. This is nothing more than an attempt to capitolize on people's patriotisim. If they really want to make a statement with it they should donate all of the earnings to the new WTC towers/memorial. I forgot what's going up in that spot, but I heard it won't be anything near cheap. Onyx, remember Pearl Harbor? Yeah no one else really does either. Also since we're recalling stories about the event. I woke up after my awesome 21st birthday blew me out the day before, saw it on television, went to the bathroom, went back upstairs and back into bed. Because I knew 5 years later I'd still be hearing about this crap. People need to move on and get the hell over things. My friend Sylvia (who came here for my birthday last year in fact) is from Lebanon. Both her and her mother are awesome people and it was an absolute pleasure to have them over here. She has shells going off all around her right now and she's not scared as this is a normal day in her life. I'm sorry she is scared, but there really isn't anything she can do about it and she can't evaccuate because everywhere is blocked off. And yet we feel violated because two ragheads hijacked four planes and took out two towers, part of the pentagon, and some dirt (fourth plane didn't really hit anything). Not to mention there is a good ammount of people who provide some good evidence and an arguement that it was our own government that did this to us. So yeah, most of society and the entire situation pisses me off. People capitolizing off of other people's pain and patriotisim piss me off. Lots of other things piss me off too but I'll get into those at another time.

I forgot what's going up in that spot, but I heard it won't be anything near cheap. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A former roommate of mine had a great design idea for a new building to go up in that spot. Five buildings actually: two short ones, one really tall one, and two more short ones. Like this: ..|.. Shaped just right, it'll look like we're flipping off the Middle East. Onyx
I didn't phrase that very well when I posted that. Yes, I did remember about Pearl Harbor, but I wasn't on this earth then. I'm old, but not that old I was trying to say I didn't think I would see it in my lifetime. Also it's so far away, to me it doesn't have the same impact as New York. I'm just shallow that way I suppose, but not quite as much as I used to be. I'm embarassed to say that sometimes I even forget we are at war. I don't have any family in the military. Other than gas prices being sky high, it seems to me we really haven't had that much civilian impact from this conflict. People aren't building bomb shelters. There aren't shortages or war bonds or things I've read about like there was during WWII. Back then, at least from the written record, it seemed the whole nation was involved in the effort. I wonder why the change? Why aren't there shortages like there was then?
Brenda Starrr
I'm not so sure that I would want to see it. One of our friends had a conference on the 84th floor that was cancelled. Another friend of mine died in the Pentagon. Every time I see the footage, I get chills, and my heart just aches.....
Guest Megalicious
Do I want to see it ? No not really. Scary said it best that if they really gave a rats ass about it and wanted to make a reall statement they would donate the money to the 9/11 mermorial. I don't need some blockbuster movie to remind me what happened on 9/11, I was watching something the other day .. and well this lady was going on about how she saw a crazy homeless man wearing a pink tutu helping a bleeding guy in a busniess suit. If you ask me we dont need to see hollywood versions of what happened, we dont need it dramatized and blown out of perportion .. if you ask me the real drama that happened that day is enough ... but I can't help but think of the homeless man in the pink tutu, that probably begged for change from men in bussiness suits that just ignored him everyday .. but yet when the bussiness man need someone to lean on .. someone to carry him bleeding the homeless man in the tutu was still there .. that spirt and kindness is what we need to remember, not some huge dramatized hollywood set, not some soundstage where they can yell "cut" and get their makeup reapplied .. if you ask me its shameful .. but thats just me. Wish I could find the photoshped image to prove it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With over 5 billion people in the world the odds of two people coming up with the same idea independantly of each other is fairly great. I'm pretty confident that my friend did think of that idea all on his own. I'm also sure that at least a dozen people also thought of that idea all on their own.
