Yikes. Broke my toe, strained my back

Recommended Posts

I think my guardian angel is asleep or distracted (like that CapitalOne commercial).

A couple of days ago I was reaching for the water jug on the bottom of the fridge and somehow twisted and strained my back. That hurt for a day or so and just as it was feeling better I somehow jammed my toe on a chair leg. I've had a broken toe before and it felt about the same. I didn't bother with the doc because they just tape it and charge me $500. It's blue and swollen. Ow.

This morning I went to grab my coffee and knocked it over -- sweet sticky coffee everywhere. I can't figure out how to get it out from under the dishwasher.

I know most accidents happen in the home, but this is ridiculous.

Thanks everyone.

Maybe bad luck does come in threes and perhaps that'll do it for awhile. I slept with a pillow under my knees and lower back and the soreness is gone. My toe feels better. I taped it up and even took a walk to get the mail and if I walk carefully it doesn't hurt anymore.

I also am soooo proud of myself. I took a look at the dishwasher and found that the little metal panels underneath can be removed with a tool or two and I was able to clean under it. (I know - silly to be so happy about such a little thing, but I'm ..errr.. mechnically challenged so this is a biiig thing for me) ;)

Onyx, I read this and truthfully, I had tears in my eyes. Half laughing half sympathetic, but smiling all the way. Crazy when things just tend to go that way sometimes. It will balance out with a nice string of good things, I am sure. Just might have to stop and smell the roses a bit to realize that they are there.
