Thank you all for your help and support. I'm going to keep working on this until I get it resolved. My child should not suffer the sins of the mother.

I wish more people took this attitude in regard to their children in general Jessi.

I like where your heart is at.

The stuff was out of your system by the time you got preg.......you have nothing to worry about m dear. I have seen women more addicted quit and have healthy babies. Its your body that might have suffered, not the infants.

I was a meth addict before I got preg. The only problem I had was I needed to learn to eat well.

A little research has found that Providence hospital has a level 3 high risk care. Now to hopefully get my PCP switched to someone who is covered through that hospital. It will be a long drive but worth it.

Hopefully this works.

HH, sure not mentioning drugs would make things alot easier but I am genuinely concerned about the long term effects my old drug habit may have on my child. I need to be as open and honest as possible.

Worst cast scenario I'm moving to KY. They have a hospital there that delivers babies at no cost to the mother. Its a pro life hospital, they have excellent care... I must find the name of that place again...

I went to providance, they were terrific, I really did like them alot. I went to the pavillion for care, I was on medicade or however it's spelled, but I do think you will like it there, the dr's are all so great, and they will help anyone with proof of insurance, the hospital has signs everywhere that say they cannot deny you if you are having medical problems or are giving birth. I had no set Dr, but all the ones i saw knew I was at risk and had lost a few in the past couple years, my baby is healthy because they did their tests and kept me under a very strict 3 visits a week plan to make sure we would be ok. I'm glad they did because he had some problems in the end of it all, now he's perfect, and hungry, I hope all goes well.

Jesi, my respect for you has climbed astronomically after reading this. I'm so glad that you've cleaned up, and that you have the healthiest possible attitude towards this baby and your previous problems.

It sucks horribly that you're getting the runaround simply because you were looking out for your child, and that they would risk the health of your child in that way.

Also, as a side note to those who disparaged free clinic doctors: Yes, the service at a free clinic isn't going to be the best, especially not compared to an actual hospital, but those doctors work their asses off, usually pro-bono, for people who oftentimes have no respect for the services they are being provided. I'm only asking that you give those guys the credit they are due.
