Recommended Posts

:devil Most of this movie was boring, until they found out later that when the old people died, they were made into wafers. This movie should be remade, but with more actionIMO.

it was based on a book called "make room! make room!" by harry harrison. personally, i enjoyed the book far better then the movie though. but yes, i have often thought that it sould be remade as well.

Generally, I hate remakes, but I think that this could use a good sci-fi noir going over. The original really did not have any intensity (as anyone who watched it knows), but I think that a good director could make it into a pretty intense head-trip. Just my $.02.

It probably was a lot more cool back when it first came out...

"SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!!!"

Yeah, it was considerably more exciting when it was released... keep in mind movies were not necessarily 1-1/2 hour of fx & action sequences back then, & they weren't paced for today's ADHD-style attention spans, either. :wink A remake could be good tho, with the right director.

I saw this movie in the theater when it was first released (yes kids I am old) ;) and loved it.

Funny though, that's a good point about the styles of movies and how they have changed. My attention span is shorter than it used to be I suppose. I recently watched Alien again and I was so disappointed. I loved it the first time but now it looks so cheesy. I think I'm spoiled.
