fallennon
I just finished watching this movie. I loved it. Although the sociologist in me wondered what it culturally presented. I don't want to ruin the story line but it was twisted with betrayal and lies and false hopes of love and friendship. Probably one of the only movies I have seen with a semi-realistic view of relationships. But in the movie the girl still receives her happy ending even though she loses the guy. Her career is what makes her ending happy. It basically tells the moral the women no longer need men to feel happy, just a nice career goal. Is this what our society is coming to? Are we turning away from the romance and love fantasies to pursue or independent selves as women? This poses a lot of questions that would probably best be seen in another forum, but as a woman I would reccomend this movie to other women and ask that they take a look at the message it sends us. Anyone else see it? I was hoping for a sappy chick flick and found a power chick flick...hmmm...
