Troy Spiral (13)
Is there a political / talk station in the detroit area? I dont listen to the actual radio much but when i do i try to find some sort of political talk and i really cant seem to find anything. The closest thing is NPR which is ok, but often it also (especially at night) is playing music. Sometimes i actually end up listening to one of the dang christian stations on AM just because i'd rather listen to someones point of view and/or some sort of "story" than listen to the same 20 songs played over and over again. Which is a NPR station, but at night run BBC news.

Fierce Critter
It's not strictly political, but I like to listen to Daminski & Doyle on 97.1 from 3:00 until 7:00. I prefer liberal talk, so things I listen to might not be as centrist as you might be looking for. If you're looking for liberal or conservative views specifically, a lot of shows are broadcast on individual websites. I know you can hear The Young Turks (liberal), Al Franken (liberal), and others on their websites. I'm sure Rush, Liddy and the others also have webcasts. I was always a big fan. Now, whenever we come back to the Detroit area, we're excited because we don't have a good talk radio station here. =)

Air America - liberal radio with Al Franken and Geneane Garaffallo - is on somewhere in Detroit too. Bill O'reilly is on everynight on 97.1 FM
Troy Spiral (13)
Thanks for the input. I've listened / watched most all of the above from time to time. I was hoping for a station i could turn on at 3am in the monring on my late night fast-food runs. I guess im going to have to get used to the fact that there is no full-time "intelligent talk" station. Yeah last night i ended up listening to BBC World (NPR feed). D&D lol. Yeah i used to listen to them, due to that being the ONLY talk station that was on at the time. I think it went like Howard Stern, D&D, the Tom Lykus then these sports talk guys that never actually spend much time talking about sports (cant remember their names) then Love Line(phones?) cant remember the name of that show either. Wait a minute AIR AMERICA is on the regular radio around here? Only place i ever heard it was on the internet and on my friends HAM radio back in the day. Shade Everdark
As much as I hate to admit it, I listen to Bill O'Reilly compulsively on my way home from work in the late evenings. The man is a latent psychopath, and I'm sure a closet fascist. Plus, he baits and insults people everytime they have an even slightly liberal or non-conservative opinion, and then he claims that he is above insulting others. And I'm sure he's not the worst of them. I've also heard a few clips from Michael Savage. I'm convinced the man wants Bush to just seize power and rule with a tyrannous hand. And don't even get me started on Tom Leykis.
Fierce Critter
Is Leykis the guy who insists women are on the planet strictly for the purpose of trapping & destroying men?
Shade Everdark
Is Leykis the guy who insists women are on the planet strictly for the purpose of trapping & destroying men? That's the one. The guy (and most of his callers) are such misogynists that it's utterly sickening.
