I was listening to the radio this morning and they had a trivia going on and the guys asked the girls an interesting question. In order of importance at work: money, respect, and power. How do you guys rank these? girls, if you want to answer too thats fine I just asked the guys because that was how the question was posed. Lets hear it guys! To rank: most important to least important

technically i can answer this because i very much like girls (as well as boys too). personally i like a good looking girl, a good personality that rocks in bed. i figure it goes in that order. call me superficial but hey, i am a damned pig what can i say. you can work around someone not being good in bed (that is what training is for) but it really sucks when you have to put a paper bag over their head or you have to fire them because they are psycho or a b@tch.

I tend to look at most everything as "begin with the end in mind" sort of as a framework for priorities.

Diffuclut to order since you can get all three automaticly pretty much by having a huge pile of just one of the three, the trickle-down economics will lead to the other two. You'll never get respect from everyone, but having sick piles of money or power will lead to a lot of respect , either out of fear, love or both. Huge pile of respect can command power/money as well.

Probably would get a more acurate answer with a blind vote though, due to the stigma that is probably assumed if you order them one way or another.

But i think generaly we all want the >respect:shock:

...actually screw it, show me the money. That way i can have all my physical need pretty much met, while i work on the respect and the power , while not living in a cardboard box.

Money, Money, Money :wink

I'm not at work to make friends...I'm there to make money. In the business world, that's what people respect.

Of course, I'm in a business where you don't get paid just for showing up and working.

Thats the kind of enviornment i thrive in. The go-getters get rewarded and the midrange people get marginalized and the slackers dont get sheeet. To bad i lost my freakin shirt in the market TWICE now due to medical bills. Freakin blows.

This is a tough one to answer honestly.

If you are talking about work history, I spent quite a few years hopping from job to job every time I was offered a bonus to switch companies. I have NO company loyalty. It's a different world than it used to be. If a company beats my company's deal I'm gone tomorrow. They've been good to me for 12 years now so I'm still with them.

I give a fair day's work for my pay and I expect to be rewarded with money. I pretty much sold my skills to the highest bidder (considering benefit package plus cash).

so for me it would be

Money, then Power, then Respect.

(of course really, money is a hell of a lot of what real power consists of in this world).
