Homicidalheathen
......ever find a car part or part to something else.....a door you just installed, a cabinet you just put together...well the car parts really get me. Sometimes these 'extra' things just fall off or whatever and......things still work? So you save them, the extra parts you find just laying there....in your glove box, in a bowl by the tools...waiting to see if something breaks later and you might need it. And it never breaks and you never need them? So you have this pile of spare parts laying around.....WTF??? If it wasn't needed why was it included in the first place? You just shortened the life of the product or otherwise compromised it from it's intended design spec.
BrassFusion
It depends on how big the part was and what its purpose is. What comes to mind for me is stoppers, like little rubber feet on standing towel racks. Those would help maintain friction and keep it from falling on you. Or snap-on covers for a hole you put a bolt through. Some of them really have no use and are just there for aesthetics. When you assemble stuff, you always read the directions carefully, right? BrassFusion
are they really small screws and stuff? oftentimes they'll include one or two extra of the really small stuff in case you lose it.
Fierce Critter
The latch on our driver's side door on our pickup has been disintegrating piece by piece over a span of 4 years. Up until a little while ago, it still functioned perfectly. That one really confounds me.
