cafe mochas from tim horton's. when i don't have one- i think about it. and think about til i get one. i don't know when this addiction started but i wish it would end. i think it is more of an obession than anything. ;)

i have tried to make my own too but it just wasn't the same.

maybe if i didn't have a tim horton's 2 minutes from me it would make it easier to stop going to my crack dealer. nah- i would still drive the distance. it would make getting everyone in the car just for a mocha that much more meaningful if i had to drive further for it.

In no particular order:

1) Pop. I can go on any diet/nutrition plan that exists, but I cannot give up pop. I can give up cake, cookies, pie, candy - just do not take my pop from me.

2) Cats. I freakin' love them. I have 9 now, and I can see having twice as many. Weird thing is, so can my husband, who formerly claimed not to be a "cat person". Heh. he's the reason we have at least 4 out of the 9 we have now.

3) Shoes. I have finally admitted that my "affinity" for shoes is a flat-out addiction. I don't buy every pair I see, and I don't need the same shoes in every color they come in. But if I come across a cool pair in the store, on eBay, or on the web, I'll obsess over those shoes until I either can have them, or just plain exhaust every possibility of getting them. I don't have even close to 100 pairs, and can't see having that many. But I have a LOT. Dunno, maybe it's not an addiction after all. I can go on living if they're all taken away from me.

4) Music. I can't imagine life deaf. I'm going crazy not having a club to go to to hear deep thumping bass from the cabinet right next to me. I can't give up my acoustic guitar, even though I went to a music store yesterday and almost cried when I realized I've forgotten how to play some songs I've known for years.

5) Holding hands and saying, "I love you". Jon and I do it all the time. I can't imagine life without that. When I spent a long weekend back in Michigan last summer, I kept stopping myself from grabbing for people's hands when we walked from cars to doors, etc.

6) The internet. Since it's also the way I do business, I do have times when the last thing I want to do is be on the computer. But I really do use the 'net a lot.

7) DGN. It really is an addiction for me. I'm not on it 24/7 - though I was when going through a major bout of depression 2 years ago. But today - now - is an example of how I can't sign onto the web without jumping on the board to see what's up. Maybe that'll change when we move back, I dunno.

8) Conversation. Though admittedly misanthropic, I'm about the most social misanthrope there is. I guess you don't have to like people to want to talk with them. That said, I think there's a better definition of me that I haven't discovered yet. I DO like some people - precious few. But overall, my dislike for humans in general is pretty bad. I dunno...
