Fierce Critter
In an earlier day, I would have been interested. This sounds very cool. I hope you'll advertise shows here once your project is playing out. Best of luck!
RowanInBlack
In an earlier day, I would have been interested. This sounds very cool. I hope you'll advertise shows here once your project is playing out. Best of luck! Well, if you know anybody who would be interested, please feel free to pass this info along. I'd really hate to have to suddenly back out of this show because one of our synth guys was starting his senior year of high school. Fierce Critter
LOL! When I was in high school, that music really WAS "New". And I was into the more popular groups that actually got air play. Devo, Japan, Roxy, Lene, etc. I don't profess to know anything of a lot of the other bands mentioned in your ad. But I think I know the general sound. Again, good luck and please advertise here when a show is imminent. In the "events" forum, of course. Kitchen & the Plastic Spoons existed for about 14 months in Sweden and only recorded a few singles. I've been talking to an old member of theirs about recording a cover of ine of their songs; i think he's more impressed that K&tPS has an Amerikan fan that didn't get turned onto them via the old Flexipop magazine. Princess Tinymeat is the post-Virgin Prunes project of their drummer "Haa-Lakka Bintii" (Daniel Figgis), and if i remember correctly, it was just him and a guitarist and he built his own synths. He's currently a resident composer at a university in Dublin. Dali's Car it Peter Murphy (bauhaus) and Mick Karn (Japan). SHOCK was a performance art-oriented New Wave/Romantic act that utilised dance, mime and synthpop music. Tik & Tok are two former members of SHOCK.
