Hmm.

Just to make it easier for all you intrepid music lovers out there, I'll actually LINK to the band's Myspace page, as I'm pretty sure it's not against the board rules to do so.

Not that I've ever heard of this group... but circumventing rules that don't apply just pisses me off.

Hi Otto,

Thanks for posting this. Feel free to use the forums to promote shows partly what they are here for. =)

Not sure what rules are being refrenced above but the only real "rule" about posting links to sites is if there is some site that is sort of "competition" for DGN i'd rather not see links to it on the board. Doesnt really apply to this sort of stuff.

It was my misunderstanding. I assumed he'd put "check them out on www.myspace.com/ by adding the band name to the URL (no spaces)."

to avoid putting a full link. I've seen it done on other message boards by people trying to get around bots that would censor or delete posts that link to outside sites to promote.

And we all know how much Erin hates spammers. but i'm just a bitch and i'll shut up now =)

I can understand that line of thinking. Just in this case i dont think it really falls under the "spam" catagory. Often its a judgement call as to what is and isnt spam.
