Questionaire, eh? Ok, you asked for it *evil grin*

I am a 30 yr. old, mother of 1 psycho 6yr old boy w/ADHD who is too damn smart for his own good & I am married to a Taylor boy. Born and raised in Flat Rock, I now live in Brownstown...the armpit of downriver.

(The following is ripped right off my MySpace...cause I'm lazy like that lol)

Hex's Interests:

Being a 21st Century Digital GRRRL w/an old school soul, my interests tend to be very ecclectic:

When I'm channeling the trad artist vibe, I'll whip out my sketchbooks & doodle or just create something out of miscellaneous junk. Then there's the digi artist that demands attention & off I go into comp-land. Adobe Photoshop 7 is my bitch!

One winter evening of Feb. 2006, I was accosted by this psychotic caffeine junkie. She plied me with the nectar called Vodka and seduced me with tales of fiberlicious goodness. Before I knew it, I was half crunked and knitting a dishcloth. More knitted things just kept springing from my needles. It's a torrent of tangles & weaves that I just can't stop. Now, I'm mainlining roving & felting it into sculpture. Will the insanity never end?!?!

Vampyres. What is it about these legendary creatures of the night that has always entranced me? Regardless of the interpretation, from culture to culture & age to age, there has always been an irresistable allure for me. I have actively studied the phenomenon and folklore of vampirism for years. I will not deny that they border on obsession for me. Fact or fiction matters not. They have a dark hold on my heart & will always be a part of who I am. They are remarkable & interesting beings. *sigh*

Witch!!! Yep, and damn proud of it. I am also known as a mage, sorceress, & necromancer. I practice quite a variety of the "dark arts"(those terms give me such a grin). Much like Vampyres, the Occult has intrigued me for quite some time. I've been an active practioner for approximately 17 years. My main focus is on Chaos Magic, but I don't discriminate. It may be a difficult road to travel at times, but the journey itself is worth it.

Hello, my name is Amy...and I'm a gamer! Yes, I'm one of those weird ass geeks that live for RPG. My husband, I, and a few of our friends get together weekly for some good old fashioned pen/paper RPG. Currently, we alternate between D&D (Mmmm...Vintage! Carl even has most of the original modules for it too hehe), a custom game we created called Strange Days (currently on hiatus due to the absence of our favorite demolitions psycho, Shem) which is loosely based on ourselves here in Detroit and uses Cadillacs & Dinosaurs as it's base rule set, a custom made spygame Carl created called Agents of Twilight that uses Twilight 2000 as a base rule set (double play on words there as well, since he just forced vampirism on the lot of us lol), & a Star Wars themed one that, as far as I can tell, is created on the fly by Carl and Juan (also on hiatus due to lack of Shemness). Loads of fun! Nothing better than hangin' with your buds, maybe having a few beers, and immersing onself in a bizzare fantasy realm where high explosives are as common as breathing hehe.

There are many other passions that are nestled within my world...but a girl's gotta have some secrets *wink*

MUSIC:

I have very diverse taste in music. Suffice it to say that some genres deserve mention, as they move me more than others:

Goth/Darkwave/Black Metal (The Cruxshadows, Tiamat, Lacuna Coil, Voltaire, Chaos Opera, Clan of Xymox, Howling Syn, Seraphim Shock, etc...)

Rock-a-billy (Southern Culture on the Skids, The Stray Cats, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Beat Farmers, etc...)

Punk/SKA (Operation Ivy, Suicide Machines, Mustard Plug, Dancehall Crashers, Madness, The Uptones, Rancid, Buzzcocks, NOFX, Bad Religion, etc...)

One group has always remain supreme in my love of music, regardless of genre, age, or anything else and that is Pink Floyd. No matter my mood or mindset, I can ALWAYS find a song by them to fit. Forever Floydian.

MOVIES:

There is WAY too many beloved films to list, so I'll only list those that I can watch repeatedly (without break)& simply can't live without *BEG*:

The Quiet Man - 1952

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - 2005

The Boondock Saints - 2000

Rent - 2005

Bram Stoker's Dracula - 1992

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy

The Harry Potter Series

Innocent Blood - 1992

Practical Magic - 1998

Dead and Breakfast - 2005

Shaun of the Dead - 2004

Erik the Viking - 1989

ANY movie by Broken Lizard!

BOOKS:

I am a HELLACIOUS Bibliophile! Here is a small peek into some of the "gems" of my Collection:

WORDS TO LIVE BY:

"In heaven, all the interesting people are missing."- Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

"Consistancy is the last refuge for the unimaginative."- Oscar Wilde

"...We are spiritual beings having a human experience."- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

"To thine own self be true."- William Shakespeare

"Hell is other people."- Jean-Paul Sartre

"Courageous, untroubled, mocking and violent-that is what Wisdom wants us to be. Wisdom is a woman, and loves only a warrior."- Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

"I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend your right to die in a fire of suspicious origin."- Unknown

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride!'"- Unknown

Everything you never wanted to know...and more! Yar! :pirate

Do you have a light tablet for photoshop?

Unfortunately no. A well meaning friend several years ago gave me one for my b-day...but it was a Disney Magic Artist Sketchboard lol! To make matters worse, the company that produced them for Disney went out of business (before this one was purchased, I might add) and since the driver is buggy as all get out, it's never worked.

Ah well. I'll get a real one someday.
