Sometimes You Just Need A Good Cry

Recommended Posts

The one year anniversary of my mom's death is coming up on Sunday, and when I was listening to a song, a particular line just set me off on a crying jag.

"It takes a lot to phase me. I'm pretty stable. I'm pretty sane, but I'm looking at my future...and God, did I have to lose her?"

Did you ever have those times where you just NEEDED to cry. After you've spent all your energy and you're covered in snot, you just feel 10 times better?

I went through this phase, where I felt it actually made one weaker spiritually to cry.

And so, I held it in for a few years. I mean, through the toughest parts of my life....I did not shed a tear.

Not only is this not good for your tear ducts and tummy and mind.....

When I finally did let myself start crying again......

It felt SO good.

I still think it is good to try not to for the most part but......

I let myself do it the other day and after......

I had a very clear mindset and the answers came to me, was able to talk with this person and not scream.....

So let yourself cry at least once in awhile.

Just don't over indulge, pretty much like anything else........you know?

(she looks like a very beautiful person on the inside as well.)

Your mother was breathtaking. Just lovely.

I still have moments of being completely and totally overtaken by grief over my brother whom I lost in 1999. One not very long ago. The sobbing was uncontrollable.

Let it happen, dear. Whenever you need to. Bury your face in a pillow if necessary and just WAIL.

And always call on a friend if need be. I'm a PM away. Depression be damned, if you need me to come see you, let me know and I'll hop in the redneckmobile and be there.
